Not true, but you're right on the IQ thing. IQ tests measure how good we are at IQ tests. We don't even have a proper definition for "intelligence", so how then can we measure it?

But yeah, standard ecology - we are not equal.

Think, its not true. We aren't all equal, we are worth what we indivudualy can contribute to the advancment of society. Some people are stronger, some faster, some more sexually attractive, some smarter, and probably most importantly more skilled or harder working. Thinking that we are all equal is something I might have thought when I was a little kid, I used to be REALLY left-wing when I was younger, but now that society is done with making me into a decent person, I understand that life is not like that. Plus most civilisations that go by that cause problems, China, Russia ect.

mhmm, you;re right...all people are nto created equal. but thats not to say that we shouldn;t all have equal oppetunities in life. think about it..say that someone who earned a higher grade than you got a much much higher paying job than you for signifigantly less work....is that really fair? blue collar jobs have just as much skill and knowlage involved as some tech. jobs with one big differance...the amount of work. people in blue collar jobs typically work longer hours of a moderate to high level of phsical activity...meanwhile you have people sitting behind desks on their asses all day making 10 times the amount of what they make.

Equality is like religion. / We like to think it's true becouse it gives us hope and it makes us feel like moral people. / It also binds us together, gives us the feeling of unity. / Sometimes we become zealous about it and defame those who deny it, calling them evil, immoral, enemies of cosmic justice - why else would anyone not believe in equality? / But in the end, it's only an illusion, a result of wistful thinking. / A noble idea that simply does not match with the reality.

We are not equal, too many opinions, too many excuse to say "I'm better that you"

tell that to the KKK that a black man is equal to him. Tell a Islamic that other are not inferior. Tell any government that they are not above us, that they are there to represent the peoples, not to make more money in their pocket.

Tell the church that they are not better that anyone and should not judge. Tell anyone that everyone is equal to him !

Tell the rock that the grass is its equal and should not crush it.

Well if it was true, then we will be living in peace, not at each other throat for any given reason. I can yell at the sun as much as I want, it will never stop shying !

Being equal doesnt mean you can't be harmful. It does imply you dont have the right to do so. That it is the greatest appeal to such philosophies. You can make yourself rightious and place blame on some other with no repercussions.

The implications of that are deep and still play out in modern thought.
