Marching band is the best thing ever. High school now. I will do it in college.
And I and working to become a band director so music can be my life. <3 I don't care about the pay; it's all about what I will be happy doing.
I play clarinet and tenor sax; I'll learn the other woodwinds in time.

I play Trombone and I have since the 6th grade. I am currently a senior in high school and I've been marching since the 9th grade.
I'm also in advanced jazz band for the second time - first was 10th grade, and my schedule didn't allow it in the 11th.
Also, I'm in a ska band called The Extricated =)

I played the French Horn, but when I went to do band for school last year, they were making me do the melophone for marching. I'd never been in a marching band and... Well, I quit. I have better things to do than practice something for 5 hours after school that I don't enjoy.
Plus, the band peeps at my school are mostly nerds/assholes anyway. Not to say that people in the band are always geeks, but yeah. It just isn't for me.

I've been in the percussion section of my school band since 5th grade, but now I'm going off to college and the drumline is a little too serious for me to join (practices like everyday and I'd have to spend half of this summer at band camp). I'm probably going to miss it, I enjoyed playing concert/marching band.
