I’ve been making adopts for a while now and wondered if my art was finally good enough from a clients pov for Commission work?

is there enough interest in my style?

is there aspects of my style/skill level I should work on first?

how much would you pay for art like this? (I know my charging range, however I appreciate outside opinions as a growing artist‘s first time dabbling into commissions)

general comments appreciated too if they don’t answer any of the questions above

I can't speak for anyone else, obviously, but these aren't particularly to my taste.
The designs are cool, but the kind-of blurred, formless rendering doesn't do much for me. I think it's a value problem IE: The light and shadow don't tell me much about the figures. As a side note they all seem to have a very similar intense, snarling attitude. Mixing up the mood could attract more buyers. Maybe a sitting, regal looking one, a friendly one, etc.

Thanks! There’s gonna be people who don’t fancy my work and that’s okay ^^
thanks the design is the main focus of these so I’m happy you like that aspect, which is why I haven’t rendered them as much as you may prefer, I used to, but I actually lost out on buyers and it added an hour to drawing time.

I wanted to say that was a part of my style, them all having their teeth on show, but I didn’t realise how angry they do all actually look, now it will still remain a feature of the majority of my designs, but I’ll make sure I work on other expressions for commissions, I even went off and made sure my next design wasn’t snarling for you lmao ^^’ still a similar pose for the design aspect, but do they look less angry?

The issue here is contrast and tangents. If you were trying to make a narrative piece for some sort of eldtritch horror vagueness, these would be acceptable to a degree.

But you're meaning to sell these.
I can't make out all of the critical details that make them cohesive characters. That clarity is imperative for something people will need to use as reference for artists they commission to draw them.

I think those designs are honestly pretty cool!

Thou I am not a person who likes to buy adopts, I am sure there are a few people who would :) Only thing I can point out is, that there should be some more proper outlining... You dont necessarily see all the details at first sight when you look at them due to the colouration being so blurry and washy (if thats even a word... xD), and I think its important to grasp all the details at first sight and be able to tell where one limb starts and where it ends.
Those are just my two cents, I aint no professionell but I hope it helped a little ^^
