Been a furry for a while...

...but never really seemed to get into the community or fandom. Since I got married a few years ago, and started getting art commissioned of my wife's D&D/PF/SF/CoC/DG/CoM characters, I've started getting art done of my characters. Even started posting my fairly bad amateur photography on FA and DA. Figured I'd give the forums here a shot, and attempt to be sociable.

As far as I go, I'm a CIS hetero white dude in his mid 30s, living in a tiny Appalachian mountain town with his wife, our two dogs, our six cats, and approximately thirty chickens (counting or doing anything math related with chickens is dangerous for one's wallet). Loved furry art since I was a teenager, though it is only in recent years that I've been more open about it. Currently work as a Forester for the USFS, so if you have tree related questions, I would love to answer them, and I WILL talk at length about them until you stop me. Prior to that I worked on and crewed on the CH-53E while doing a 5 year enlistment in the USMC.

Otherwise, I mostly post online using a female character avatar (Merrill Ashwind). She is a PF/PF2e character I play on a few different games, not really a fursona. If I ever do get a fursona drawn, it would probably be a very average looking black rat guy. The MrArborsexual persona is because my wife jokes that I am secretly an Arborsexual, and will leave her one day for a sexy looking tree. Won't lie, I have thought about having a "tree"-sona drawn up...

Maybe you're just part of the funny animal fandom: same basic content but without a desire to be part of any community or lifestyle while enjoying it.

I mean a tree sona is different, not seen everyday, but Hemlo Welcome to the forums

Yeah, it's not a well known aspect of furrydom but it does exist so if you're not really feeling being a FURRY then maybe it's because you just have more of a interest in the art than anything else.

It's totally fine if you do, too: not everyone is looking for or want's a community and sometimes it's nice to just sit back and like what you like on your own.

It's all up to you how ya wanna take your talking animals.XD
