tbf most of them left, the site is dead save for me and a teeny handful of users.
But yeah its so dead its not worth mentioning really. Every furry forum that isn't FAF is dead as far as I'm aware.

Seems to be quite a shame. I've always perferred forums compared to Discord. It's far easier to keep track of things on forums and you can actually think through your responses. Discord is too hectic.

It is rather unfortunate that forums seem to be a slowly dying breed, yeah. About all that still seems to exist and remain to be in any way active are forums on some incredibly specific topics, and the SpaceBattles trifecta, with certain exceptions like FA's forums.

this seems to be probably the last active furry forum. So many tried to emulate/out-do FAF only to end up with all the users that were banned from here. That's why they are no longer functioning forums. Sofurry has a forum that not quite as active as this one but that forum also doesn't tolerate the shenanigans that happen here. Another forum, PlanetFurry, is not active at all. I think some of that is the fact it's a family friendly forum and it has a very active admin (me) that allows no shenanigans.

I use Discord which is good but I do like the structure of forums. Responses to what you post tend to be more thought out than ones on instant messaging apps and your thoughts won't get buried to oblivion.
I've looked, and unfortunately there is no other active furry forum alternatives. There was FLO (Furry Life Online) which started up while FAF was down for its server migration, but it was a shitshow from start to finish and no longer exists.

Now I'm not denying that theres shitheads here, but I'm going by my experiences when I used SF years ago. It literally took but a day before I was openly creeped on in that (admittedly nifty) chat room of theirs. They were also weirdly misogynist as -fuck-.
I wish I had screencaps of how many times these people would go on about "how gross women are" and wishing they just didnt exist. Or not understanding how anyone could talk to women.
I ditched the site altogether when I would get motherfuckers in my direct messages or comments trying to do overtly explicit roleplay after seeing me post my pinups. This was like 6 days of using the place. Creepy fucking people.
Maybe the forum is marginally better but I'd have to take your word on that because lord knows I'm not going back there to confirm. Lmao

I'm not a member there myself..... but I've heard that it's a decent low-key "family friendly" place. It's a little "slow" as far as postings and activities go - but, places (like this) can be a refreshing thing these days, for those of us who are weary of the negativity elsewhere on social media.
It's worth a try.

Back when FurAffinity went down many moons ago for like a year, I too took trouble in finding alternatives. I bounced around a ton, ended up browsing sofurry, weasl, and furrynetwork, then gave up and waited lol
It is weird how nothing could make me stay put. I don't visit those sites that much anymore... But on occasion, I may "pop in for a cup-of-coffee" then be on my merry way.
