Best concert you've ever been to?

My favorite would have to be Rush, saw them in April with their Time Machine 2011 tour. I was THIS CLOSE to meeting them, too, but the guy with our backstage passes didn't show up. ._.
What about you guys?

I saw Sondre Lerche in concert a few months ago. I was really excited because he's my favorite musician, and it turned out to be an amazing show.

Radiohead

Apply directly to forehead.
This one. It was good despite my obsession with NFG waning around that time.

Admittedly, I haven't been to a lot to compare to... The only concert I've been to that would have been better than Rush was Grateful Dead's Deer Creek '93. But I was one. >> Everything else was a free show.

No this cant be true!
I saw gogol bordello last winter or maybe the winter before last... I dont remember. Awesome stuff

I just saw mischeif brew last night at my neighbor's theatre for their zine library's grand opening. It was great. I bit a decent chunk of my tongue off getting pushed around in a pit. Nothing too bad.

There is also a local marching band called the detroit marching party band. They recently played at the aforementioned theatre last weekend, abd they also played at another neighbors weekend party called the crownival. Always a blast to see them. Its so outrageous watching tuba players and big bass drummers playing and dancing at the same time.

Whoa o_o The only well-known marching band we have here (that I know of, at least) is the UofL marching band. And they only do sporting events for the university. >>

I'm "Human" get over it.
Hmm, I haven't been to this concert, but if I had, I guarantee it would have been the best concert ever: Daft Punk's Alive 2007 tour

Daft Punk FTW

I went to Hell on Earth 2011 in Pittsburgh on July 23rd with my Brother from another Mother, another friend, that guy's girlfriend, and another guy who was friends with that other friend. I got to breath the same air as Exodus, Slayer, and Rob Zombie...hehe, yeah.

Pretty Lights at Bella Vida.

God I love festivals.
Hmm, forgot about festivals... I guess I can count Abbey Road on the River. :3 The Jimi Hendrix tribute was phenomenal.
EDIT:
That's Kiki's Delivery Service. Great movie.
I had a feeling. Haven't seen that movie in AGES.

Conker

Destroyer of Nazi Teddy Bears
Avenged Sevenfold's Nightmare After Christmas tour. So fucking amazing. I got so drunk, bought a 40 dollar tshirt that I could have found online for way cheaper, and just generally had an awesome time.

Also where I first heard the band New Medicine, which is now one of my favorites.

If you are a fan of Gogol Bordello do everything in your power to see them in concert. My god they put on a fantastic show. For any one wondering the lead singer is just as crazy in real life (and shirtless most of the time) as he sounds in his music. The show I went to had like 3 encores. The time they spent off stage between encores is literally the ONLY breaks they took the whole show they went from one song to the next no stopping no talking just rocking out. When they did "Start Wearing Purple" everyone went crazy and their live adaption of "American Wedding" was god damn hilarious (the lead singer pretend to fall asleep during it :p). That show was totally worth the sleep deprivation I suffered to go see it.

Don't believe the mask...
I went to Kamelot's last tour with Roy Khan in Amsterdam last year for my birthday. It was amazinggg. We were right up against the stage. c:

The fact that I'll probably never have the chance to relive the experience ever again makes it all the better for me.

He's like, this guy, you know?
Probably a tie between ICP's "Bizaar Bizarr" tour back in 2001 (before the inevitable decline), and when I saw In Flames and Shadows Fall right after Ozzfest ended in 2006, on their club tour. With six other bands supporting. That concert went on for almost 7 fucking hours. Yeah, never mind, Shadows Fall/In Flames was the best.

Wow, 7 hours. The last concert I went to was like 4.5 hours, and even that was exhausting.

I'd love to see In Flames! If that wasn't obvious (see my signature.. :V). How are they live?

Edit: I just found out they'll be in Holland in November. I'm leaving in October. Ffff- :|

I've never been to a concert (unless you count when I was in the concert band in school and was one of the performers)... I am too anxious around crowds to ever want to go to one. Heck, being in a full bus makes me nervous. lmao

The lead singer came out, almost fell off the stage, and then warned us all about the dangers of mixing barbiturates and Jack Daniels right before a show.

Then proceeded to tear that shit up. They are incredible live.
