Biggest Little Fur Con (BLFC) '15 ! Who's goin?

For those of you who don't know about BLFC: http://www.biggestlittlefurcon.org/

This is their 3rd year in the con and I've been to the first two and they went *awesome*. Who is going? and is anyone on the fence about going? 'Cause you should DEFINITELY go. Rooms are dirt cheap. Reg is cheap and patron has really neat perks. The con space is in an "open room" format, the entire con, like one-stop you don't have to meander around two floors of a hotel, and everyone is hanging out between events. It's an interesting and sorta inclusive-feeling event.
Also it's in a casino, so you can walk around with open containers of booze. Yeah :D

Anywho, enough gushing about the con. I hope some of you guys are going, and what are you looking forward to this year?
Also, hey, yo, wanna hang out?

Well, I registered a few weeks ago and I'm really nervous/excited. I've never been to a furcon and although I've read about them and such, I still don't know what to expect. I'll be carpooling and meeting some people there as well, so that'll help a lot. I actually have an extra seat or two in my car if anyone needs to a ride from Northern California. Question; are there a lot of open tabletop game rooms? Also, anything important I should know about this con specifically? Looking forward to hopefully meeting more and more people there as May comes around :D

There was a big console game room last year, and there are open tables for people to use that are intermittently filled with games.
I think there was a tabletop game room, but I didn't peek into it the last few years. Definitely the crowd for it though! <: I think the important thing to know is that, at the end of the day, we're in a casino and you will be treated super well by the employees there because they dig money, and we bring in lots of money. That being said though, that means we have a LOT of odd passers-by that have no idea what the con is, and they're usually super inquisitive and friendly. If you are a fursuiter, be prepared to be asked to be in a lot of pictures by non-furries. However non-con-attendees cannot enter the con space, so it's not like you'll be running into them all day. They can just see into the area and wave, and usually con attendees are milling about the entire area around the con space.

At the end of the day it's super laid back and fun, I think you'll dig it.

Oh man, that's awesome! I'm not huge into tabletop/board games but I'll definitely have to try them out. I'll probably be intoxicated most of the weekend and I saw there's free go-karts so I see myself racing a lot. I'm honestly really excited, and your post hyped me up quite a bit! I don't have a suit yet unfortunately though, but if I enjoy my time there(very likely), I'll probably start making my own. Ahhhh I can't wait!

This is going to be my first Furry con ever. I'll be working the game room. I'd love to meet new people and make friends. Super hyped for the parties and possible hookups as well. ^_^

I'll be there!

If you see a dinosaur dressed like Alex from Clockwork Orange, come say hello.

Haha, someone I know! Nice! ^_^

This is far enough away I should be able to make it. Why not?

Sadly, that was LAST BLFC. Only attending GLFC this year in Grand Rapids, just due to my schedule.

But, I'm planning to make up for it next year! I love BLFC, so I regret having to miss it this upcoming year.

Oh, WHOOPS!

Totally missed the date, lol. That was the only general BLFC thread I saw.

Oh, well. I'll probably see you next year, if I'm still in Washington :D

I mean it's called the biggest LITTLEFUR con. They call themselves littlefur as well as baby fur. Hell I started researching BC I was beginning to think it was one myself with this knowledge in mind. Especially considering I found out they have a babyfur room

In the course of your research, did you happen to come across the city of Reno's official motto?

Notice how the phrase "biggest little" appears in both the motto and the convention's name. Due to being somewhat of an oxymoron, this combination of words is rare in the English language, and suggests a connection. Here are other occurrences of the phrase:
  • The Biggest Little Farm, a 2018 documentary
  • Biggest Little Radio, a northern Nevada radio station
  • Biggest Little Baskets, a gift basket company
  • Biggest Little Fashion Truck, a clothing boutique store in the back of a truck
  • Biggest Little Baby, a prenatal/family education facility
If we look at these results by geography, we uncover an interesting pattern: a full 80% of them are located in or around Reno. Now, if we combine this with the findings of your research (i.e., including the word "little" in the name means it's a babyfur event), we come to a startling conclusion: the entire city of Reno is a babyfur event!

Apparently necroing isn't against the rules here. It would be nice if this thread got locked, since both your post and my reply are six years too late and devoid of value. It was fun, though.

I know nothing of the state so I didn't know this was a thing. None of these events, of course, popped up in my research as they aren't furry related. I literally never left east coast except for when I go to Ecuador. My city doesn't even have a motto so this being a thing is new to me. All I know is, that's a weird way to name things calling it big and little I mean. Also, just sayin, part of the reason I was even curious in the first place is, unlike the events you listed, blfc has a room or two for Babyfurs as I mentioned before. I personally don't find anything wrong with babyfur BC it's not like it's a kink, it's just a form of stress relief/therapy so when I got curious it was literally just that, curiosity.
