Blocking: What does and doesn't it do?

What exactly does blocking a user on FA prevent them from doing? What can they still do?

I tried looking in the knowledgebase link but it tells me it's down/being updated, so I have no idea where to find the answer to this.

I'm just curious what it prevents them from doing. Can they comment, watch me, favorite my art, send me Notes? There's literally no information on the page where you add names to your block list, so I have no idea what it does and does not do.

Ok this may not be accurate but from what I know Blocking users will stop them from sending messages to you.

I simply blocked a user who was rude to me. It's not an "issue" because I've blocked them.

But I'd like to know WHAT blocking DOES.

Why is everyone asking me questions when I've just asked for one simple feature of the site to be defined/explained?

It's just aggravating when I've asked for one thing to be explained/defined and everyone asks If I ~have a problem~. Maybe I've never blocked anyone and just want to know for future knowledge.

From my experience, blocking prevents you from seeing their comments and they can't see yours, i think. But that's on FAF, not sure about FA.

Simple as that it will stop someone from messaging you.

Okiedokey. My suggestion would be to look up a staff member like Quoting Mungo or Mewtwo and ask them.

But to answer your question:

Unable to send notes
Able to watch and view your work but cannot comment

Basically they're as if they don't have an account concerning your page and works

Blocking another user stops them from:

-Adding you to their watch-list
-Sending you notes
-Favoriting your submissions
-Commenting on your submissions
-Commenting on your journals

As a note to everyone else: Please keep your responses on topic. If a user is asking a question and you feel you can contribute, you may feel free to do so (just, you know, don't pass on incorrect information. If you're not sure if you're on point with the facts, don't). Don't sideline what should be a simple discussion with unneeded commentary or questions.
