Hello everyone,
I have been throwing standard playing cards for about three years now. I must say it is fun to annoy people, give them paper cuts when they piss me off at poker, and chop vegetables in half.
How many others out there throw cards as well, and have used Banshees. Was just wondering if they were really worth it.

I used to throw cards when I was in highschool. It was entertaining but I never really got too good at it so I stopped. I think I'm gonna go practice some tomorrow, thanks for reminding me of this.

Also, I used to carry this steel beer opener with me all the time - it's about the size of a playing card. I took it not only to open beers with it, but to also use it in case of self-defense. Thankfully I never had to resort to using it for that.

Huh, I did not know this was a thing. Does it work with greeting cards as well? Nonetheless, I'll be more cautious around casinos.

Oh I can do it! My technique tends to corkscrew too much, but it'll sting like hell if it hits you. XD

Business cards and credit cards require a different technique, and greeting cards probably wouldn’t work.
I recommend standard paper playing cards

Good luck with your practicing! I made a few card shaped rectangularized throwing knives out of sheet aluminum. It was pretty soft metal, but it stuck into wood pretty easily at up to forty feet

i tried when i was in highschool. A friend of mine had a passing fascination with throwing weapons. We made homemade throwing stars and other sharp and pointy things and threw them at targets set up in his back yard. The fun only lasted a week or two though because he eventually caught a (metal) playing card a la X-Men with his face and chipped a tooth and sliced his gum open.
