Well..... two friends and I have all checked over the last three days - and we haven't seen *anything* (like what's described here).... either then or now. So, either we're all hallucinating which I don't think it is, (as we don't take anything "freaky" besides medications from our doctors)..... or all three of our computers are buggy in some way or..... the content has since been removed.
If it's the latter and was reported to the authorities by Staff, then the case should be closed I suppose, as the authorities will do their jobs at that point.
But in any case, I was going to write this yesterday on here for whatever my opinion on the topic is worth..... in that in a way, I agree with the Staff member (above) and was going to say myelf that it's probably better just to report it to Staff and then....... let them do their jobs; instead of creating a thread about it on here.
Because (just like the gore issue earlier on here) where there was another thread about that, I think threads like this just bring more attention to some things that are probably best left untouched.
I mean, if I didn't read about these issues on these theads here, myself and few colleagues of mine wouldn't have known about them at all...... (shrug). ☺
It's absolutely sickening what levels people will go to, and even with the assurance that I'm 99.9999% okay after this fiasco I'm probably still going to have anxiety over this for a few days at least because I can't shake the feeling that there's always that 0.0001%, hopefully there's a way to stop this in its tracks
Honestly, (for whatever my opinion is worth to you here) but..... I don't think the internet is worth getting that much anxiety over my friend, (with all due respect). As sad as it is - these things kind of go with the territory these days with the nature of the internet being what it is.
And so it'll be more better for you it sounds like to me - to just focus one's efforts (and emotions) on things and people that bring you comfort; as opposed to incidents like this which while unsettling, (given the nature of the internet) - happens.
It's better to just report it, ignore it, and then find other things and people that are more worth it.
