i didn't ask for what price you would buy it i only wanted to know what other peoples think about the cover art itself and would atleast give reasons WHY they think it is bad or good and not such a.... well how should i call your comment? hm..... insulting spam post cause that is

To be fair, i actually should have guessed it was a gif considering the dithered look. Whatever. Still a neat pattern but your attitude as easier to critique than the artwork. You'll have an easier time making friends if you didn't lash out. You asked for critique on something that can't BE critiqued.
if you want to do "something reasonable with your time", move on and/or post something with substance. Don't take critique so hard. You asked for it. You got it.

I can kinda agree with Sergei, despite all the shitposting habits. A good cover art should either reflect the song in one meaningful way or another, or be a part of the concept. This is just some blue stuff plastered over black background, without underlying meaning or anything. If you want examples of abstract covers that are actually quite smart and interestingly made, look for Boris's "Flood" - the cover on it represents various parts that combine into one big 70-minute long track, from up to down. Or Jamie XX's "In Colour", where every color represents some previous song or EP by Jamie. Or Autechre's "Tri Repetae", which is just a blank brown space with nothing on it, but contrasts with other electronic releases of its time (which were all colorful and stuff) while still reflecting the atmosphere of music itself (dreamy, moody, mechanic songs that overwhelm you). So yeah, you can make an abstract cover art that's actually smart and unique, but all I see there is some weird blue stuff - think of something interesting and work on it, this one is nothing but placeholder.

well the spirals resemble waves wich are the maine thing people think about when they think about the ocean i used an colour pattern mostly with navy blue and some brighter blue colours since the song is called ocean depths the picture surely has a meaning... you just need to find it that was my idea behind it

You posted an image for critique.
Another member came in and casually did so.
A joke is made at the expense of nobody, a back and forth ensues.
You come back and get upset at the fact that neither of us can (or assumed we simply won't) critique your work and you get upset and start name calling.
Now remind me again what went wrong here. Nobody was rude to you, nobody insulted you, you actually got not one but TWO compliments and you're still upset. Nobody is "trolling" you, friend.
Fishing for complimemts =/= critique -and picking fights with critique you don't agree with isn't the best way to start off in a new forum.

Just to be clear, i'm not arguing. i'm not trolling and i'm not joking. Just so you know, i wasn't making fun of you or your artwork. i didn't say anything "BAD" about your artwork. Somewhere along the line you must have thought Sergei was pricing your image or something so i had a back-and-forth about the mishap; not about you, not about your artwork. in fact, i complimented your work! Sergei's video reply was a reference to a meme and my mistake. i don't understand what the problem is! LOL Your interpretation of what transpired is completely wrong and misunderstood. Look, for what it matters, i apologize if you really feel that hurt. That wasn't my intention by any stretch.
As for the compliments:
i still have no idea what i said to insult you directly. Your image looks great but there's just nothing there to critique. it's too abstract to interpret, just as Sergei said. Refering to someone's two cents ($0.02) is a phrase meaning "my interpretation" or "my opinion". He wasn't insulting your work by tell you its worth. He didn't insult you, he told you his opinion; one that i still stand by and agree with.
-And yes, i can image what it feels like to have my artwork insulted. There are lots of people who like my art and twice as many who don't. When it comes to sharing your work, you have to take the good with the bad. You don't always get praise for your hard work. in fact, i would rather hear harsh critique than silent indifference. At least then i know that somebody saw my art and it caused someone to think. i take critique to heart and i use it to improve. i don't take it harshly, especially when i ask for it.
