Critique/Redline Help on Anthro Anatomy?

Hi guys,

I would really appreciate some critique/redline help on this sketch I'm working on of an anthro full-body fox:

I feel like I've improved a lot from where I used to be, but I know there's still a lot about this sketch that's off or could be corrected. His right arm has been giving me absolute hell (so has the left one...) and I'm not certain that the proportions of his upper body in comparison to his lower body are correct. (Please ignore that miserable excuse for a 'hand'... those are super difficult for me and I didn't bother to flesh that out better, mostly since I'm just focusing on correcting the overall body's anatomy and proportions.)

Any and all help or opinions would be really appreciated. =)

Thanks!

I know you said to ignore them, but I would say that the lower arms and hands could use some adjustment. If you're going for a more humoid hand look, the anatomy could use some referencing. Practice makes perfect; try artists.pixelovely.com: Practice Tools - Figure & Gesture Drawing for free drawing classes; hands, feet, figures, animals, etc. It's the area that needs the most improvement here, so don't ignore it; because you could be doing even better.

Their right foot could also use some adjustment. I think it's the toes that are bothering me. They seem a little mismatched.

Perhaps also make the shoulders a little wider to accommodate the arms.

Oh, I apologize, I just meant to ignore the pathetic fingers on his hands. xD Those need some intense work as they are, lol. But yeah, the arms are the most out-of-place here. Thank you for the link! I will work on the toes and try widening the shoulders. :)

No problem! At a first glance it looked like fairly solid sketch; besides the hands, I had to really look for things to improve on. Keep it up.
Thank you! :D I've widened the shoulders and it's crazy what a difference it makes. Still working on the toes, though- those always give me a bit of trouble, because of how many different ways they can be interpreted. I can't count how many different 'styles' I've tried in regards to toes/paws.

Bring me my brown pants!
It is a pretty solid sketch, I agree with Fiddlesticks on what needs a bit of work although I don't think its the toes so much as the foot needs to be rotated slightly counter-clockwise at the ankle so the foot looks more planted on the ground.

Good point! That foot does look like it's sticking out quite a bit, doesn't it? Let's fix that. Thank you! :)
