Did I do something wrong?

So I reached 150 followers on Twitter and I decided to start another raffle since the last time I did one was a success! Unfortunately, no one has signed up! I even tried doing a 100 follower raffle and no one joined as well! Did I do something wrong or am I just not popular enough?

I knew a ferret who ran a raffle with... er... 20 subscribers? I do not know how many participated in it, but it ended and the winner was chosen. Perhaps Elon Musk scares everyone so much that they ran from Twitter at such a speed that their heels stuck in the ass.
I think you're just out of luck.

No idea. 150 followers isn't exactly that many. Possible people are sleeping, not paying attention, etc. It's Friday after all.

I’m assuming my artwork just sucks! That’s probably why (the artwork in my pfp is not mine btw)! I got way more people (around 10-15 users) during my last raffle and I had around 50 at the time!

You need to calm down, mate.

Did you get any impressions? There's also the possibility that people have free art fatigue, which I know friends of mine often have. Who knows.

Only recommendation I really have is doing another raffle and promoting it proactively through whatever channels you have. Be it Discord, Telegram, Minds.com, Twitter, etc and whatever else have you.

Twitter is currently in a bit of upheaval and I wouldn’t be surprised if the timing shortly after Thanksgiving might also be a factor. Sometimes the stars just don’t align.

Show us some of your art, we'll let you know if that's the issue, though I highly doubt it.

Here’s one of the raffle prizes I did last time! Criticism is appreciated

Twitter likes to crush anyone who isn't paying for Twitter Blue right now.
If you aren't paying you aren't going to get noticed unless you already have 1000+ active followers.

Also make sure to check if you aren't "Shadow banned" since twitter likes to do that alot to people.

No.

150 people is not a lot to really get something like this going. Not that 150 is a small amount of people. Imagine 150 in a large room. But online having anyone engage in something that isnt immediately free or tailored to them is like pulling teeth even at 10000 followers.

Some might have followed and immediately forgot. Most don't see your posts for many reasons. Some might be bots. And then some just don't care.

I wouldnt feel bad. Twitter is fast paced. Keep building an audience. You'll get more potential eyes.

Additionally, when you post be mindful of how you do it. Check peak hours and it might be better to post a little drawn advertisement of your event.

Lol, calm down. People REALLY love free art.

@Yakamaru @Eyleifr What is up with all this "calm down" nonsense?

The OP (it appears to me) is simply just speculating out loud - sort of like talking out loud is - about why he/she isn't getting any interest in their raffle..... there's no hysterics there, as far as I can read.
-------------------
In any case.... (as far as the OP's problem goes) - I agree with other users above and say that it may be that their followers simply aren't interested in it or haven't noticed it..... which honestly, I doubt that it's that, given that he/she said it was successful for them the last time.

@CalahooTheHyena So maybe you should give it a bit more time, before throwing in the towel?

Or in my mind - you might be approaching the situation wrong also.

Seeing that: if the "raffle" thing doesn't work out as there's indeed no interest - then, what you could try is perhaps advertise things on the main FA page..... (or even on here) as there's a whole section on this Forum that's devoted to giving and requesting free art also: https://forums.furaffinity.net/forums/art-exchange/

And if you try this (by offering up to someone some free art)..... and post a few examples when you do so, you may get more interest.

If you're doing this just for practice or to do something nice for someone else because you feel like it then....... just state that to people also...... and I'm sure at that point someone would take it.

I don't care about ruffling feathers or hurting feelings online, that being said, I'm not seeing any quality issues with what you have showed for your suggested use case, your art is not the problem.

Doubt you did anything wrong as it was probably a multifaceted combination that led to the outcome. Twitter being is what it is currently, an online raffle immediately post holiday assuming you are an American, and or waning interest or just bad timing for your Twitter followers. It is what it is, just keep plugging along.

Yeah.... I don't either...... @CalahooTheHyena I tell you what: it's on old thread I made on here over four years ago... https://forums.furaffinity.net/threads/free-fursona-headshot.1652902/
but if you really can't find anyone, you can do one for me if you like.

I change my avatar on here all the time.... so, an extra one in the folder to use never hurts, I always say. ☺

My PM's on here aren't public anymore.... but if you want, you can reply back here if you're interested and then I'll send you a PM to start the process, okay? Best of luck otherwise, maybe the advice I gave above is helpful.
