Do you remember your dreams at all?

I actually remember mine, or rather, most of them. They're epic mindfucks. A lot of them tend to involve edible looking landscapes and aliens. Like the time I dreamt I was drafted into some kind of futuristic war against carrot-like aliens that bled Teriyaki whenever you shot them with guns that were like the Hookshot from Zelda, or that arm in Bionic Commando.

Then I have other dreams like where I was in some kind of Agartha-like zone with pure white beaches, bromine oceans, and wind that brought about leaves that looked like purple spinach and that was apparently how they traveled around and spread their seeds. Instead of using botanical features such as fruit to distribute their seeds. :S Yeah, leaves.

Don't most people remember their dreams at one time or another? I think the ones that are really entertaining are the lucid ones. I've one had one of those that I can remember, but it was pretty freakin' awesome.

On the contrary, it's sort of scary/weird when you have a dream in which you are stabbed or shot and you can feel the pain. Anyone else have one of those before?

Most of my dreams, I remember if I'm sleeping, wake up in the morning, and sleep for a short amount of time and get awakened abruptly from the second sleep.

I don't remember many dreams for longer than an hour, which is why I keep a dream journal on my nightstand.

I only remember my recurring dreams and I remember them fairly detailedly. All my dreams are trippy.

I used to write them down, and I might be on the same level as you; Uhh off the top of my head I had a dream where i fell down this cliff onto the back of some guy that started to carry me but feared red bell peppers, so we jumped into sacks of potatoes to get to the top of the salt caverns where my grandmother made lenses for bifocal eyeglasses out of salt and her butler was stitched out of plants and seriously this shit just keeps going, lol.

Last part of a dream I remember, my sister's bf fell asleep on my bed for some reason. She said I should crawl in there with him as a joke to make him think I slept with him. That was a few weeks ago, and probably the only fragment of a dream I've remembered for months.

Yes. One I had recently had a full length actualy possible musical. It had a full cast with music numbers and accents. I had to take over a part on the final dress rehearsal. It was a great dream and stopped me from stressing out on my tests that day.

Another one I had to fight one of my old classmates from highschool. I got a cut on my arm that I felt after I woke up.

Yep, got shot in the back in one dream, a long, long time ago... can't count all the times I've been stabbed or cut and felt, well, not quite pain, but extreme discomfort. Nothing like pulling an arrow out of your mouth, or trying to pull out all those thousands of pins stuck in your flesh. I'd much rather be shot in a dream, given most times the "bullets" just bounce off.

Lately, for some reason... most likely the fact I've been waking up hungry... I keep dreaming of food. Everything from dreaming I'm a dragon, flying along while eating ramen noodles, to being in a kitchen just to fix a snack, and turning the kitchen into a mess, while making enough food to feed a family... for a week. That chewy "banana bread" stuff was delicious, though.

Well the only one I remember specifically to this day is one in which I was a cop, chasing someone down an interstate highway. I don't remember exactly how we ended up stopping and being out of our vehicles, but I remember him shooting me from across the highway and it hitting me in my lower, left ribcage area. I just remember it burning a lot before I woke up =P. Maybe I just had indigestion, lol.

It's possible... I was a kid when that "shot in the back" dream occured, the ending to a very long, detailed story-dream. Found out shortly after I woke up, it was the position I'd fallen asleep in, stretched out on my grandparent's couch during a visit. I was awake, still in the position I'd slept in, moved a bit, and felt that same pain in my back. That taught me that what your body feels in the real world can have a direct effect on your dreams.

I'm a lucid dreamer, which means among other things that I'm half-awake by the end of the dream, which makes it easier to remember them, because the memory part of the brain is starting to work. One of the most common themes I dream about is time travel, I'm not really sure why because it's not something I think is particularly cool when I'm awake. This is time travel to the future, not the past. Sometimes there's been an apocalypse and people want to question me because they don't have good data about life was like pre-apocalypse. Sometimes they are disturbed by me because I have no idea what their customs are, and I do stuff that strikes them as weird or scandalous. Occasionally people try to arrest me or chase me because I'm suspicious.

Another thing I tend to dream about is being... precognitive? clairvoyant? I'm not sure what's the right word for a person who has a vague but strong sense of what they ought to do to make the future turn out well, or where they ought to go. Totally the opposite of my real life, where I rarely have any sense of destiny or path to an envisioned future.

My favorite dreams of all are the ones where I can fly or float - those are just so much fun, even if people are chasing me and I'm afraid of being captured, I still tend to wake up smiling. :)

I have many, many, many dreams.

I should write about them more often. :I

In my mind, when I think of real life- like people, places, etc, I kind of think of it as Zeurel's style on DA. The color, the sytle.. cartoony whenever I'm happy. When things get dark, I switch into like a bleach look. It's really, really weird :u

I had the coolest dream today. Or rather, it was a strange dream; what was cool with it was that there was a general coherent theme throughout the entire dream and not just some random events pieced together with next to no story elements at all.
I've never, ever had a dream that makes as much sense as this one.

Oh another one.

Well I had a dream I was in a Battle Royale scenario today. Totally won it.

Oh anothe- actually I enjoy posting in Off Topic section threads.

I remember most of my dreams, as they seem to take more time than they actually take(7 seconds?), and the experience that I earn is much bigger than anything.
I used to write them on paper, but I left the idea since I found an everlasting way of retaining them - wake up, invent a new scenario that exists in your conscious state, fall asleep and experience it. Not sure if that's actually what I do because I am unaware of my brain activity inside sleep.

Not always that intersting if I think of the same content, but it's nice if you run away from reality through them - can't do it for long though.
