Out of curiosity, how many of you actually RP? I think we can all agree that RP is a huge part of the fandom, and a lot of furries do it. So how many of you do?

Is fun so I still do it whenever I have the chance or I get invited to RP

I mean... I'm practically running a DnD campaign over in the Tavern, so yes. Definitely.

Hmm... just out of curiosity, @Ginza , do you RP?

Personally, I RP because I have a story that I want to see through to its completion, but I don't want to do it alone. I want other people there with me, adding their personalities and ideas to make something that I could never do on my own.

On and off. It's fun!

The disconnection with the strangers you talk to online can be a little liberating, while incredibly cringy and horrifying. If you can get past that there's some passionate people out there very into specific things. Sometimes they produce high quality written-teamwork as a result.

It's rare, but awesome; finding someone really decent amongst the heaps and heaps of really really bad RPers.

Edit: Also been D&Ding it up with friends on days off once a month. I finally played once when the rogue was available. :3

I do, but the main thing with me is that the entirety of my RP is done in places outside of here. Regular Wednesday D&D group, customized Pathfinder on Friday nights, a really bizarre anthro campaign on Saturdays that I run (it's about in its final quarter or so), and an unusual Africa-themed RP every other Sunday (with people from both the Friday and Saturday groups no less). I'm kind of overloaded.

I've pretty much always been one for small-group RP - never 1-on-1, and I get uncomfortable with more than 8 people. Beyond that, I used to be a lot more into totally-freeform RP and even spent a lot of time RPing on Champions Online's server (they have a nightclub zone and hideout areas for this purpose), but these days a lot of what I do has even the slightest system tied to it.

Yep, and how! I think it's been one of the most fulfilling things, about being a furry, are the amazing, detailed RPs I've had, and the friends I've made doing them. Sometimes, it has happened that I've not really known the person too well, and via the worlds and fiction we create, I have made some very close friends, beyond what simply talking might bring about.

When you find somebody you connect with, it's incredible how much you tend to project very deep, even unconscious elements of the self into things; It can be tender, funny, arousing, and also, a way to discover the freedom of what might be, of anything that can be, as opposed to the world as it is: And, even as one works to make the world better, the world is always going to be bigger than you, and so, the refuge a good RP offers is something sacared to me, a sanctuary of sorts.

I love to RP. It is my most enjoyed form of entertainment. The freedom it affords is something that cannot, as yet, be simulated by any visual game I have played. (Though I did enjoy blast mining in 7 days to die until they nerfed dynamite.)
I have considered starting up my own RP based upon the Persona series of video games. I am researching the ORE (One Roll Engine) system to see if I could easily integrate it into a forum style RP without making the process altogether too complicated for RPers. I'm also considering co-opting elements of World of Darkness style gameplay instead.

I guess I would be able to RP in a videogame like World of Warcraft where they have emote animation and lots of places to go

Yes, I RP. It's damn fun, is what it is.

I have only one ongoing currently, so I thought I'd look for some more.

I like to RP, though recently I've not felt much like it because of what others have or desire to RP with me

A question, for the person asking a question? Reee!

But to answer, yes, I do on occasion. I’m often busy so I don’t get to as much as I’d like. However, I find it a good way to create and develop characters. It also improves my writing skills :p

I did way back when when I was just a wee werewolf starting out in the fandom like... 15-17 years ago.

Now RP just feels extremely weird, cringy, and awkward to me and I don't think I'd even know where to start with it if I did do it. <:

I wish I did! I’ve just never been able to find anyone with my weird sense of humor so it’s kinda hard. I’ve been dying to find some sort of MMORPG with a decent rp group but I’d much rather do it with friends which I have none of that would rp. I’ve played DnD a handful of times with a group but it really varies on how much you’ll get people to participate and talk in character and it’s always really uncomfy when you either have one or two people that are too shy to or get W A Y too into it.

No matter what form it’s in though I definitely wish it were more accessible for me! ;0;
