Does Mature Filter Not Work?

Sorry if I'm out of the loop, but it says I have my 'view mature submissions' thing set to 'no' and yet I'm still seeing a lot of undesireable material.

I'm plenty old enough so I'm not horribly offended, and I can obviously just click away from the link need be, but I'm just wondering if there is a way to turn off mature submissions and how, or if this is a known glitch.

Also, is there a way to distinguish from pornographic mature and, say, blood/gore/violence/drugs mature?

Thanks in advance,
~D

Well, the filter does work, but some people forget to tag their work as such or, in some cases, won't tag their work because they believe that it doesn't need to be labeled as such.

So long as you dont see the red border, the filter is working.

The problem is that sometimes people forget to label things. And, more often than not, they will label it mature, instead of adult, despite the image showing the subject sexually aroused.

The mature tag is just slightly abused. It may be required that they even make a filter for mature tagged art as well as the adult tag.

Just keep the filter going, so long as you dont see the red borders its working. And just ignore the pictures that still show sexual nudity that have the blue border. Tasteful nudity is allowed in the mature tag and what is tasteful and whats blatantly sexual is kind of a fine line. Either way though, a dragon sitting in a chair with a sagging semi unnoticeable dick between his legs still isnt exactly work safe, no matter how tasteful it is. ^^

But yah, its probly working, your just seeing the mature tagged works. Sorry that it gets abused. If ignoring it is a bit much and you want to help, just report some serious offenders to the admins and let them judge the picture. They will change the tag.

Labelling adult material as Mature has no effect whatsoever if the Mature filter is set to OFF because the filter excludes Mature material just the same as Adult.

Really? I thought it just removed the adult tagged stuff. Regardless, so long as your not seeing the red (and blue) borders around pictures, it should be working.
