I was reading this wonderful thread: http://forums.furaffinity.net/threa...living?highlight=what+do+you+do+for+a+living? and was quite impressed with the variety to be found in it. So it got me thinking...
What would you say is the absolute favorite part of your job? The thing that makes the whole shabang worthwhile, and keeps you going back other than for the paycheck? And while we're at it, share the flipside to that coin and tell us what you dread the most about it.
Students count too!!
As OP, I'll start this show. My favorite part of my job is when I actually make a person's day. I work retail, so you can get a lot of grief from that environment, but having made an impact really puts me in my happy place. Probably my fondest memory was when a very well meaning mom came in 5 minutes to closing and needed to get school supplies for her son who was entering his first year of school. The whole store was dead and one of our more plucky cashiers read off her list while the rest of us ran everywhere picking out pencilholders, glue, sanitarywipes, the works. She was so impressed and the sweetest person, her face was priceless!!! I chat with her a bit everytime she stops by.
As for the worst part of my job? When their is an "emergency" bathroom cleanup. The less said about that the better.
