Hi everyone~
My name is River, though I suppose once I finally pick a name for my fursona that I'll go by that (??? That seems to be how having a fursona works, from what I've gathered), and I'm a long time furry adjacent but only finally just giving in to the whole thing. You know how people can be, internet society especially is mean asf to furries so while enjoying furry media and making a handful of friends who happen to be furries, I sort of kept an arm's length from the whole thing until now.
But like...don't kill the cringe, kill the part of you that cringes, ya know?
So I'm hoping to make some friends and really develop an art style since I do art outside of the furry fandom and used to draw sonic characters like it was necessary for survival, but haven't really honed skills for the particular style and I really want to! so bad! I even tried some sketches of my fursona that I'll include but I'm still trying to figure out my style.
I'm also weirdly insecure that I picked a wolf, it feels so basic but I don't care I love him LOL.
Anyways,
I'm 29, currently in school to be a shrink, I like to read and write a lot. I draw, wood-burn, sew, and a handful of other crafts (low-key want to try and get into fur-suiting, but I want to hone my style first), and play video games. I have a wife who's been convinced I was secretly a furry for years and who fully supports my decent into this whole thing LOL
I love anime and film, a lot of my favorite media is furry-adjacent though lol (Bestars, Sonic, Night in the Woods, Splatoon, Bojack, Aggretsuko, etc.)
It's been so long since I joined a forum, so I think as far as welcome posts I might have it covered? It's nice to meet you all and I look forward to being able to express myself creatively in a whole new way!
Side note, I'm attaching the experimentation in figuring out my boy because why not xD
