CAThulu

In FAF CAThulu lies dreaming..
I like the design of guns, especially the Kolishnicov (sp?), but I wouldn't own one.

Martial arts weaponry on the other hand...Uhmmm....katana, bow, 2 rattan sticks, and a personal pocket knife.

I believe in never bringing a knife to a gun fight, but with my track record and if i'm travelling after dark it never hurts to be prepared.

I had a .22 pistol but sold it. Same with a .22/.410 rifle. Now I have a .58 muzzle loader, but I need to get it fixed. My dream gun is a Berret .50 rifle *drools* I have like 9 swords and many more knifes.

12lbs foot pressure and legally it's a firearm I think. Never figured out what 'foot pressure' is though.

I collect swords and knives. Pretty small collection so far because I don't have that much money. Have about 11 swords which amounts to about 1.2 per year.
I've also made an assegai myself.
Since I'm interested in "ancient" weapons I'd like to get some other kinds too, but so far swords and knives have proved to be the easiest to find.

Own a bow, though that one's modern. Recurve with detachable limbs.
Instinctive, no sights and balancers on it.

Would like to get a pistol (Glock 17) and a hunting rifle or two. Live in an urban area though, so it's not really practical, even if I get a license.
(Hunting with bows is illegal here.)

No gun here - can't have handguns in Canada. Getting nearly impossible to have a rifle or shotgun too.

If I could own them, I'd want the following:

Handgun: Smith & Wesson 460XVR Compensated Hunter
Shotgun: Winchester Speed Pump Defender
Rifle: Winchester Super X, 300 Win. Mag.

I've thought about trying to get a firearms license for a rifle or shotgun, but as I said, it's getting harder and harder to do so up here. A far cry from the short time I was in Texas, where pretty much everyone has a gun (or lots of guns).

i gots me a scatter gun
my grandads M1 carbine, 12ga side by side, pump action .270, 30.30 winchester,
.45 flat top revolver. scoped .44 mag revolver and a .22 i use for pest control and cant forget the hawkings rifle.

i got a crossbow and a long bow if that counts to anything

i use all of them for hunting but mainly i use the M1 and the 12ga. i inharited most of them when grandad died thats how i got the M1 its the same one he used in WW2
manly i just use them to take out ground hogs because the holes thay did can brake off a cows leg and i have to put them down

just about all my guns i can shoot i can take that .270 and hit a paper plate at 1000 yards and i did 800 once with the M1 useing open sights but that was mainly luck

Not my baby, as I haven't a digicam, but it's the same one. Revolvers are classy as fuck. I also have a cheap ass shotgun, which is just for shooting for the hell of it. I used to skeet shoot, but it's really been a while.

I hate guns. I think there cheap but I'd still own one for protection.

I have a 22 Cal. Rifle for target shooting and protection, nothing else. The gun I dream of shooting is the M134 Gatling Gun, (Minigun) with the DAFD2000-1 Feeder/Delinker and a DAC3000 Clutch Assembly. That gun is always fun to play with.

I'd much rather someone hate them and give the inventions the respect they're due, then someone who loves them and is more likely to abuse the privledge of owning one.

Thats why gun laws need to be geared toward better background checks and higher standards for ownership and permits.

If I really felt the need for self defense, being in the UK I'd probably get a nice, hefty 150 lbs crossbow. I suppose firearms aren't so ingrained into the culture here, at least not in terms of self defense.

(And crossbows don't make any noise! *maniac laugh*)

Nobody expects the 150lbs Crossbow!

I only say 150 lbs because it's the most powerful you can legally own.

Quite a collection. I also forgot to mention, I have a Japanese rifle from WW2, my grandfather gave it to me in his will. It has aircraft sights, a tripod, and it came with the MOST WICKED bayonet ever. It's about 20 inches long, razor fucking sharp, and in perfect condition. It can easily double as a gladius or short sword style weapon. I love that thing. The rifle itself is inoperative, I hope to one day get it refurbished and shooting again.

Would the round have been powerful enough to hit an aircraft?

I can't really tell, though aircraft sights refer more to the type of sights on a weapon, it is those flip up thingy sights that are difficult to use. I suppose that you could shoot at an aircraft, planes in those days were not made of the finest materials, so I suppose you might do damage if you hit it in the right place.
