I wasn't entirely sure if this should've been posted here, or in the links subforum but figured here would be okay as this directly is about the "Community".

If you're looking for a long standing community with no intention of shutting down any time soon please give Furrypile a chance.
We've been around for 15 years, we have staff who is involved with running furry conventions irl, allow both nsfw and sfw, roleplaying, artist den, media galleries etc.

We've already had a fair few people from the Faf community join and intend to cater to as many people as we can and show that while forums aren't as popular as they were 10 years ago they still serve a purpose.

One of the mods there posts here sometimes I'll send them a message as it happened to someone else and they fixed it

The site looks pretty clean and promising. I joined a few days ago and so far my inner attention whore is being satisfied. As much as I use Discord, it is definitely not a replacement for forums. At its core it is an instant messaging app. I use both forums and Discord for different reasons, and neither could replace the other.

I really hope more users here give it a chance. They don't have to settle for Discord or barely functional alternatives. There's hope my dudes.

And no I wasn't coerced into saying good things about another forum. All I did was give it a chance and I was pleasantly surprised. To anyone finding it odd that this is coming from a new account... again, go ask any active, well-established users here if they remember me. I was an active user myself for 2 years but asked for my account to be deleted because I wasn't happy here anymore.

So give Furrypile a try. It's totally free and no one is being paid to say good things about it. If you end up not liking it, no one is forcing you to stay.

FurryPile is literally a clone of Fur Affinity, just with all the features thrown in a blender and placed in different locations, but as a bonus for figuring out the different buttons, it does sport some unique features - the public chat being a big one. Not such a short time ago, it was a very friendly, but WAY smaller community than this one, but has grown tremendously in the past few days, having had a massive influx of new people, almost predominantly from here. Which makes it all the more familiar to future members of this place joining, as they'll recognize a ton of old faces. Us originals that are still active are a minority now, most of the growing activity being ex Fur Affinity members. We've essentially become a slightly smaller Fur Affinity with a different name, and with weirdly placed features and a live chat. I could see the initial opposition, as very early on, the place was practically dead and had been for years, but ever since the place has grown insanely in the past few days, and 99% of the new people being old members from this one, I don't really get why some are so reluctant or opposed. We're an evil competitor, until you realize you hate many of your friends in what is essentially a clone of this place.

Even if someone else mentioned your site, you, being a site admin, should have known better than to go along with it and further derail the thread. You should have just opened your own thread and left it alone. This does not speak well about how Furry Pile is run.
