Fursona Partner?

hihi! out of curiosity, does anyone else have a character that souly exists to be the romantic partner of your fursona? im not talking about self inserts of your actual partner, or shipping with another persons sona, just a character you own for the purpose to be your sonas partner. if so, im curious of why!

mostly curious as ive found myself doing it, I first made my fursonas boyfriend a few years ago when I was in a bad relationship. the character was a source of comfort and soothing, what I wished I had at the time, and even when I moved passed that relationship ive carried him with me. I still draw couple art of them together and find myself being fond of the pairing, even now that I'm in a healthy relationship. though granted now he's more used because my girlfriend isn't a fur and I respect the boundary of her not wanting a fursona, so using the past character who doesn't represent her at all (or anyone for that matter as hes purely fantasy) for the couple art I long for feels like a good compromise.

I knew someone who had two fursonas who were dating each other in their universe. I've done the same in the past but I don't really use that character anymore. I think a lot of us fantasize about the perfect partner like you said, so we end up creating one for our sonas xD

I personally am not very fond of romantic relationships, and I don't have any desire of getting into one, but I just really like the idea of romance for some reason. It's like I prefer to read stories about people falling in love rather than falling in love myself. So I think creating a partner for my sonas is my way of fulfilling that...

Well, my fursona Choco has a partner in my oc Vanilla. They're not romantically involved or anything, just very close friends who are always there for each other. Vanilla is based on an imaginary friend I had a long time ago, who was also based on a real friend I had to even longer ago.

So, Vanilla is a partner as in a dynamic duo. As for making someone who'll date Choco, I think I might do that.

Honey, you should see me in a crown.
I dunno if this counts but my ferret OC is a warrior from Asgard and is in a romantic relationship with a version of Loki as portrayed by Tom Hiddleston in the Marvel movie universe. I find it hard to fall in love with anything that I created entirely by myself.

I tried It, but It never really worked, or when It did It was for purposes other then romantic actually (pair as representing pairs of opposites, 2 different forces- hence It was more sexual in a way that is not bodily but more relation of power and force. I felt It was more potent in this way).

I had a character that specifically came into being to be a companion for someone else's sona in an ongoing roleplay/storyline. It was an on again, off again story and we both had a lot of fun with it, and it came to a well timed ending when my character was killed in order to further someone else's storyline. It fit well with the story as a whole, it was fun while it lasted.

I don't have one, but I can understand it in the form of "You would do that just for me? That's the sweetest thing ever!" I personally don't feel the need to, because I don't care what your sona is. If we love each other, that's all that matters to me.

I have portrayed my ideal mate as the species of my sona, but I realized this and made it so that any other sona can be in there.

I feel this way about real life, too. I don't care what you look like, if you're a lady, I will love you.

I can understand LGBT+, but it was my decision I want to be a heterosexual man.

The closest thing to that is my characters tail snake.
I wouldn't say it is relationship thing or a power struggle.
Just exists to add comedic value to the character.
A super serious looking dragon... with a derpy tail snake.

I never actually thought of making an ideal pairing for my character.
Since I'd rather just find someone I like in real life instead of making something up.

But that's just my opinion on the matter.

Yes, I have a character that is sort of a "partner" for my Fursona. They are not really together, though they often act like they are.
I write storys about them but those stories have nothing to do with me irl or my actual fiance. I just do it because I love writing stuff.
