Find a nice bar. But watch out, Texan's can be pretty.......Texan, if you know what I mean.

Hit up a Whataburger, drink some whiskey, and visit a cowboy-themed bar where literally everyone works in the oil industry

What are you going to Austin for? To get away from the freezing northern weather for a while?

Scouting out a place I might move.

Get away from the freezing north *forever*

Austin has a few good scenes of stuff I'm into. Good customizing scene. Stuff for old cars and motorcycles. Choppers and things like that.

Prospects look good for welding jobs but I need to get boots on the ground and get a sense of the region.

So yeah this isn't a tourist thing as much as this is recon work as well.

I'd probably check into some trance or symphony outlets if there's anything going on. But that's just me...
