Prynne

Phoenix Dragon
I'm Laura, and the character I've made is Prynne, the Phoenix Dragon. I'll be honest, I have some mixed feelings about the whole furry thing based on stereotypes that were how I found out about the fandom...but I've been watching a lot of Pocari Roo videos and I love them lol. So I decided to lurk around a bit and see what y'all are really like! I was started to wonder what kind of character I would make, and then I thought about my tattoo.

I got this on the third anniversary of the night I was hit by a drunk driver. I had just finished my sixth (and hopefully final!) surgery. I'm at four and a half years now, and I still have to use a cane some days. So, the whole facing my mortality thing led to my choosing a rising phoenix! I had also toyed with a dragon, which is how that came into play with Prynne. She's pretty much based on the kind of person I've become since that accident. She's stoic, easily angered, and a bit selfish, but on the inside she's still the same - shy, empathetic, and silly. Sometimes it's a bit of a battle between the two. I might even do another "form" for the inner side.

What I've got so far is the image in my avatar, which is kind of how I reimagined my tattoo if it was done more "realistically". I'm primarily a pencil portrait artist, so I don't have many coloring utensils at all, let alone good ones lol. #crayolapride
Drawing this actually made me feel pretty happy. :)

Pocarri is a pretty cool Fursuiter! And we are all pretty cool here. Most of us are as silly as can be, but there are a few on here that aren't like the rest. Sorry to hear of your accident, but glad your recovery is coming along. Pal around, join the conversation, most of us dont bite, but some are very flirty. But again, Welcome! Hope you have fun!!
