It's so fucking annoying and unoriginal, the Norwegians were doing it before that track was even made (which is fucking hilarious, idk why), right here

I hate this fad, it's stupid, pointless and sounds bad.

But you never seem to be able to adequately define when something has gotten out of hand.
Most of the time it comes down to "I don't like it, therefore it's the most horrible thing ever!".

Are you kidding me? This stupid shitty video is all over Youtube, even on UNRELATED videos on the right!

Funny, it isn't on mine. Maybe you watch too many other shitty videos?

But since we're sharing our opinions on this 'phenomena', here's mine:

Spotted a local fur (identity withheld, just in case) in yet another local Harlem Shake (and a good one to boot):

He's definitely one of the few hardcore suiters on the island. Made his all on his own... as far as I know.

What the hell. Here's the vid:

A local youth-oriented newspaper was talking about Harlem Shake on its cover (and its staff video) today, with a small, ahem, tutorial inside.

What surprises me is that there's no official 'Harlem Shake' ringtone yet. o_0

I'm rather impressed that I imagined to actually learn about a meme the same month it was created ! :)

Yeah I feel the same way. Anyone know why youtube memes are everywhere today? Too bad they are progressively getting shittier.

The song is actually very well made and fun. The meme can be insightful in how you can learn what different groups of people define as randomness after the drop.

Personally I don't hate the Harlem shake thing, Was kind of funny at first, I just think it is getting old fast....
and I don't think that it will evolve into a meme, it's more of a YouTube fad.

I heard the song was on the radio, but I'm not sure if it was a remix or something, since basically all contemporary music radio stations on the weekend nights give "electronic music remixes" now. Still, it's better than most of the crap on our airwaves.

...

I just discovered one of the reasons why this thing is so popular down here. It just makes sense.
According to a local TV interview, the lyrics, "Con los terroritas" (translates to "With the Terrorists"), comes from a former, local reggaeton-'artist' named Hector El Father, whose lyrics were mixed into the "Harlem Shake" song that we know today.
Reggaeton was/is big in my country, though Hector won't sue for the use of the lyrics, as he has left that phase in life behind (he became a preacher 5 years ago, which is perhaps the best move of his life).

About Harlem Shake, I can't shake (get it?) the feeling that people are getting a little carried away:

The biggest mistake? The guy on the hood responsible for kicking off the madness is not wearing a mask. :p

BTW, did ya find Waldo? XD

Shit is still shit, no matter how much you polish it and apply glitter to it.

I don't get it, why are people acting surprised every time this happens?
It's called a fad. It used to be a thing online, but now it's a thing IRL when everyone gets obsessed with something and everyone else calls it stupid. Like Gangnam style, only now its different.

Saga, that's terrible XD I know I'm epileptic and even I find this joke amusing yet somewhat tasteless.
