Well... gosh, where do I start? I feel terribly out of place here.
For one...

I am not a furry nor a furry artist. As such I am scared to post art as I don't feel it'd be too accepted... but I do have reason to sign up here.

Of course being neither I have been very mislead on many things about the furry fandom. For a while I was not a fan of furries, but please do not judge me yet... I join here because I hope by doing so I may be able to learn some things I previously did not know, and perhaps meet some intelligent furry friends who can help me understand things a little bit better... or atleast some who are knowledgeable about the fandom. XD

I understand I am not the only 'human' here, very much so... in either case being an artist who does not draw furries I am very cautious about posting here and as such do not feel I should post art.

Onto, um... sounding friendlier:

I have had a deviantART account for ages but what with the recent going-downhill of things, I'm trying to break out of my metaphorical box and try new things in hopes of improving as an artist. I enjoy creating original characters and have many. I also have a few fancharacters but do not often draw straight fanart for a series.

I am a huge fan of making music, tuna, and the Touhou series, as my name may reveal atleast a little. I am generally friendly unless provoked first, although I am known to be sarcastic and tease somewhat; do know that I never mean it, though, and will only do so with those I know well.


If you read all of that then, thank you! I hope to be accepted somewhat and am rather nervous about posting. I am not picky about what others call me, but my real name is Anna, if you wish to call me by that. XD

Thanks for the nice welcome! I'll give it a shot. My username here's much different than my dA username so I'll have to fix up some watermarks and stuff, but aside from that I guess I have a couple of things I could post.

Well, I did explain that in my introductory post, I think, but, I'll gladly explain it again.

I'm here because I'd like to learn more about furries and the fandom, other than what I may hear outside of the fandom. Honestly I know no furries so aside from the bad things I hear, there is really no one to tell me much about it...

At the same time I'm here because I am trying to 'break out of the box', so to speak. I don't plan to draw furries or things like that, unless it's for any friends I might make, but maybe I can learn some things, both about art and the furry community.

If you want to see how Furries work, just watch 'em. You'll be able to sort things out well enough if you look carefully. For instance: I have found a(n un)surprisingly large amount of transhumanists amongst the Furry population of FAF.

Hello, and, thank you! Good to see another.
If you've had much experience with the Touhou series you might know it; I certainly know about the actual Chernobyl, but my username's a commonly used nickname for a character from said series, named Utsuho.

That was alot of my own problem, was that I spent a very long time lurking about the corners of ED. Combining ED and what I heard from other people about the fandom... like I said, unless you know a furry you're friends with, there's not much good that goes around.

That's about what I plan to do, though. So far the people I've met here have been pretty nice, and although I'm not particularly a fan of the fetishes I guess that's really all that counts... and even then I know fetishes are really just as common in human culture so I don't see the big fuss, there.
