Art style doesn't matter too much and it doesn't have to match my level of quality.
I want to do these trades so I have something more meaningful to draw than my personal pieces and at the same time get something in return... and I like seeing my characters be drawn by other people regardless of style.

So in short, all should be good as long as the other person doesn't treat this like free art and does their half of the trade.

(I also am here for similar reasons. I want to draw, but im sick of drawing my own characters)
