An artist to help me designing a character that is on my mind quite a time. I never found someone really up for the task so I am making this thread. The character in question is an avian, most easily described as a tropical songbird ( not a set species, rather including several features from different species ). The gender of said character would be hermaphrodite and also most likely an older character ( middle-aged, having past the mid-thirties)
This will be definitely an adult artwork. I am not looking for reference sheet but a single fullbody picture, of course, if applicable, maximum shading and color.
Requirements for the artist:
- Patience: I cannot stress this enough. It is about creating a character, I got plenty of ideas on my mind but I am sure not all make it to the final concept. I am a visual person, I need to see things to toss them out/approve them.
- Experience: Especially desired when it comes to: More voluptuous body-shapes ( chubby/tubby ), older characters ( signs of age ), Avians ( obviously ), Color palettes ( I am bad at matching color, so advice would be appreciated ), Character designs in general, having done it before is always helpful.
- Streaming: This cannot be stressed enough. Absolutely mandatory. Back and forth via notes is not a good way to get details correct. Language is ambiguous, everyone has a different opinion of words ( what is big? what is dark blue to you?) it is much easier if things can be chatted out and fixed/corrected in the stream. Less hassle for both of us.
Optional but always welcome traits:
- Voicing your Opinion: I might get stuck during the designing. Not being able to make a call or finding two options equally good. If you want to help and give your opinion and help out. I am not an artist and might try to combine horrible colors that do not blend etc. Feel free to give me advice.
