How do you explain fetishes?

Thinking of something arousing takes a lot of time and you are forced to touch your genitalia to make it go "UP". A man with a fetish will make his penis go "UP" as soon he touch and feel the object (fursuit) or by watching the porn video/image without touching the penis.

It will be very challenging for you to prove those psychologists that you really have this fetish.

They will repeat the test more then twice with your eyes open and keep asking of what are your thinkings.

And "fetish" is being misused on here anyway. A fetish isn't merely something too kinky for you, it's something the person needs for arousal. If you've got a feather fetish you're not going to get hard unless feathers are involved.

As it's being used on here it really means kink--some sort of oddball sex you enjoy but you don't need the kink to enjoy sex.

Huh? I'm saying the dividing line between kink and fetish is whether you *NEED* the thing to perform. Someone who simply has a kink (most everything referred to in this thread) enjoys whatever the action is but can enjoy sex without it, also. Someone with a fetish can't.

I guess you could compare them to the options you can get on a new car. The addition of stuff you'd want like MP3 connectivity, a moonroof, the 18 inch alloy wheels and the built in GPS makes the car much more appealing to you. It's still a car, but those additions make it attractive to you.
The same thing with fetishes. They add something ultimately appealing to the humanity within you, something that you like or want.

As to where a fetish comes from... good question. I know plenty of kinky people but I can't think of any with a fetish, so I really don't have any experience to say. But I will say that despite some people's claims, being kinky and into BDSM does NOT mean you were abused or punished a lot as a child. I've seen far too many counter examples to buy that.
