How is my art?

Neoi

Lone Wolf
Ive been getting into sketching over the past month and I dont know how im doing or If ill get any better. So far the only thing ive been drawing is ponies and anthro wolves. I keep thinking that im getting worse and worse each time i sketch. I need some advice on how to improve or how I can expand my artistic skills. Its getting pretty boring just drawing the same things over again. My pics are took with a crappy webcam but thats all I have at the moment.

Not much more to say that Toraneko has not already summed up. But, maybe some points:

1) Please host your art on a proper art site. It deserves that at least and will create a far better impression.
There are plenty of free hosts, such as, oh I don't know, this site or Deviantart. Hell, even start your own thread
in these forums and attach the images.

2) As Toraneko said, you need a greater understanding of the basics. Nows the time to start practicing by
studying real shapes, people, pets, etc. In short, draw from life, observe form and how light and shadow define
what we see.

3) Be prepared for a lot of hard work, but don't give up. Start sketching do those studies and put more of your
work up for crits.

You will if you keep drawing! Beginning drawing is hard because you haven't experimented enough, or even drawn enough to really flex the visual brain muscles. But making tons of work - for fun or study - will definitely help.

So far the only thing ive been drawing is ponies and anthro wolves. I keep thinking that im getting worse and worse each time i sketch.

You'll feel like that once in a while - it's because your brain has learned something new, or knows of higher art concepts, but your eye-hand coordination and motor skills haven't caught up yet. More drawing fixes that up. :]

I'm gonna go against the grain here and say that the post above mine are great if you're *really* interested in drawing, and if you are go for it, but you also sound like maybe you're just starting to kind of get into it and you're not sure if you're enjoying it yet. So really I think you should just draw what you want and don't worry about how 'good' you are or anything like that, and if you find yourself enjoying the process of art a lot, then really start to dig into books and theory and stuff. Because honestly, it's okay to make mistakes and have bad habits at first (there isn't one artist around that didn't start with bad habits!), but if you don't like making art then all the dry material is going to just frustrate you.

If you're tired of drawing ponies and wolves, there's nothing stopping you from going and drawing tons of other stuff! Make a still life or look for other animals to draw, maybe go for a hike and find a cool scene.

TL;DR: best advice at your part of the journey: draw draw draw draw draw!
