How tall is your 'sona? Why?

This bizarre little question might seem simple, but hey, apparently I've really been missing out on a culture shock!

A furry friend of mine was really taken by surprise when I mentioned I'm "about three and a bit feet in length" - apparently, I'm 'tiny'!

In the Pokémon fandom where I spend most of my time, we tend to retain the sizes of our species of choice, with little changes for bigger/smaller depending on how we'd like to be perceived...

...but apparently it's a staple in the anthro fandom to keep your 'sona similar height to you?

And to be honest, I don't even know how the culture of the scalie fandom works with size. Never asked!

Oh yeah, that's a good one. From head to tail, I'm about three and some feet - but I'd be less than two feet 'high'.

Kind of an important distinction, but I kinda failed to capture it in the thread OP.

Most of the newer 'sonas/characters stick to the average height of their species (usually with +10cm extra height, I dunno why), the earlier 'sonas are closer to my height (185cm... I think that's an inch under 6ft)

Raziel is about 14foot minus her ears, with ear tips measured shed be about 16. Since she is an arctic creature I gave her some height like a polar bear because small animals dont do well in the cold it seems. if you laid her on the ground and measured nose to tip of tail she would be close to 30ish feet.

My feral 'sona's height really depends on what would be fitting for the situation, but I've put an upper bound of 14', and a lower one of 7'-8' (front claw to top of head).

In anthro he's the same height as me, which is about 5' 9" (currently, I'm still growing at my age. XD)

Mine is either 6'2 or 6'3. I forget which. I would have rather made her 5'5 like me, but sergals are supposed to be rather tall anyway. So I just made her a kinda short height for her species.

I'm the abnormality here I suppose, my character is just 1m tall while in an anthro form. The character concept is that he is normally "feral" (hate that term but it's what everyone uses now) and must shapeshift into a larger humanoid form. Growing and maintaining body mass is a strain, so his short stature is a compromise between conservation of effort and being able to function in the human scale world. I could go into more depth about it, but nobody would care.

I dont think i've ever measured my actual hieght let alone thought about my fursona's. I think i would be a little bit taller with digitigrade legs, and seeing as wolf heads are a much bigger build then puny humans.

Blagh, maybe I'll make a thread in Fursona Personas someday (how is that forum title not redundant). Every time I've tried to actually write everything down about my character, my attention span has burned out because over time I've put stupid levels of detail into things.
