I was threatened by a student with terrorist charges.

So some of you may not know this, but i'm in my last year of middle school. I used to go to an alternative school where a murdered threatened me. Here's a link to that news article:
www.tullahomanews.com: Motlow, George Dickel, Manchester, Bonnaroo, Coffee County, Winchester, Monteagle, Tims Ford, Beechcraft, Lynchburg, A.E.D.C., Sign Dept.
But that isn't what i'm here to talk about today.

Recently, i've been a victum of bullying and threatenings in real life, and it was all coming from the same person. But today, two of my bullies were arrested on school campus for threatening to shoot up my school on social media. The same girl that told me the only way I would ever be known is to be a prostitue, is now sitting in juvie somewhere. Just thought i'd share this, as there was a school shooting at Parkland Florida wednesday, and now this. News article: 2 Limestone County students jailed for making threats on social media

Oh, geez. That's both terrible and good. I'm so sorry you have to put up with that shit. I hate bullies, and I hate America's bully culture. And I'm very glad that they were arrested for saying they wanted to shoot up the school. We cannot afford to extend free speech measures to such instances. We must be vigilant in figuring out how to prevent bullying. How? I have no idea, really, but it has a seriously bad impact on people psychologically.

So, good to have them in juvie, hopefully they stay there for a while, and I hope to God you stay safe. :/

I was a weird kid; bullied a lot. Unfortunately for the bullies, it turned out that I was one of those 'painless' fighters. Once triggered, I wouldn't stop until I was unconscious, or the bully stopped moving. I was suspended a few times. I do not recommend you following this course of action.

I sucks, but one can move on beyond the bullies' reach. In time, life will improve if you keep pushing forward with that goal in mind.

As far as terrorism goes, and potential terrorists, I have no clear-cut advice to offer.

I am old enough to have grown up in a time when bullying was accepted. I remember being told that it was just "part of growing up" and "no big deal." It was just "kids being kids" and "part of the natural pecking order." I had to learn to hide, sneak between classes, stay in the classroom at lunchtime, and hope I wasn't in the wrong place at the wrong time. For me school was a wilderness filled with monsters ... something to be survived, endured.

I graduated Salutatorian. I left that school with my head held high, and I have never been back.

Good luck @KiaraTC ... these difficult days will soon be behind you. :)

I try my hardest to just do my best for eight classes, then leave. I usually keep out of these types of things, but not alot of people agree when I do voice my opinions during topic discussions. Part of the reason I get bullied is because i'm a marching band/ special ed kid :/
Don't know why, cuz marching band kids are badass

I was a band geek for 8 yrs. Heard every insult in the book. Once I was in high school though, all my friends were band kids too, & we all stuck together. You will get thru this. Just try to ignore the haters, cause there's no way they could handle what band kids are capable of!

I fucking hate this about school. You get “bullied” (harassed is the actual real world term) and when you do something about it, you’re the one that gets punished and not the harassers. It pisses me the fuck off and the schools that do this shit should get new staff or should even be brought to court for encouraging this type of behavior. Even when you do tell the principal or any of the people working there, 9 times out of 10 they do absolutely fucking nothing besides telling the harassers “Hey, you better knock that off.” Jesus, this school system is fucking awful.

Sorry for the rant. It’s just something that seriously ticks me off when victims are the ones that take the blame. This is why there’s so many fucking school shootings in America. Because nobody does anything before it’s too late.

Well they got what they deserved. Kinda reminds me a of week ago when a kid took a picture of a pistol and posted on his SnapChat story saying “nobody come to school tomorrow.”
Kids are stupid and insane in middle school. I feel you ;-;

My god! Such a scary thing, I'm so sorry you had to not only be in the same school as these kinds of people, but also be bullied by them. Try not to let this whole event worry you. They'll be away for a long time, and security is heightened now. Keep your head up. Kids can be assholes, just be yourself and know you're in charge of your future. You can be anything you want, just have to work for it. Surround yourself with good, accepting people. Fuck those kinds of people. Life is too short to waste your time on assholes

Here's how I would look at it - I can guarantee you those kids were not well liked. Very few people want to kill their friends. They took their frustrations out on you and I'm sorry that you had to experience that.

It makes me incredibly sad to hear stories like this. I guess the good news is they finally decided on the death penalty for that little turd who shot up that school in Florida. At least, according to my mother.

I was also bullied, but I was a poster child for that back in the nineties: overweight, glasses, poor, lived in a trailer, dad was a custodian. I might not be a super success story, but God knows I survived, and I'm strong. I was also in band! I played trombone. Tick another on the Bully Me List: I was the only girl in the school who played trombone. In both junior and senior highs. You do the math.

What's scary is this shooting thing is hitting close to home because my sister was telling me that a friend of her's niece said that two kids were arrested from a local high school after they also threatened to shoot the place up. And that's like forty miles from here in NE Kansas.

It's a scary time to live, wondering if I should even bother letting my daughter go to school because of this violent nonsense.

There was a kid at my school that was mercilessly bullied. He used to go home at lunchtimes to eat to avoid it, and if he came back early he would sit on the ground outside the school gates until the bell went because he didn’t want to come back in and face people. At the time teenage me did nothing to help him. I was too wrapped up in my own BS, hiding and feeling ashamed of my growing same-sex hormonal responses, and desperately trying to fit in with everyone in case I myself got turned on. Looking back, life was hell for him. None of us should have let that happen. He was a good kid. It’s one of those things I really wish I could turn the clock back on and redo knowing what I know now.

He quit school as soon as he could as a result of it, which was a tragedy. He was clever. Could and should have continued in education. So that shit knocked his entire life back.

I’m sorry to hear what happened to you. You deserved better. All kids deserve better. Well done for beating it, and beating them.

@KiaraTC I really hope that this marks a new chapter in your school life, and that school becomes a much happier place for you and all your classmates as a result of those two being removed. Awful that it takes scary shit like this to go down before people will act though. Huge hug from me.

Humans, in my opinion, are the worst animals on this planet. Some humans are very nice, very caring, very loving. But some humans(it seems like more and more are like this) are downright evil. Cruel, mean, uncaring, right bastards and bitches! Bully bullshit is something left over from our early ancestry. This is 2018AD, not 10,000 BC! We don't need to compete to see who the best hunters are, who gets the girl, who gets more food. Do people even teach their kids anymore to treat others as they would want to be treated? It seems like bullying now is ten times worse than it was when I was a kid, thirty plus years ago. Used to be bullying was an "at school" thing. Now social media just brings a whole new level of cruelty to those that are bullied. Makes me want to cry.

Yep. No escape from it now. I don’t get how people can allow their kids to inflict such shitty behaviour on others. I know I don’t have kids of my own, so maybe I have no right to speak on this, but surely a basic foundation of parenting is to teach your children how to behave socially and to have respect for other people. There’s way too much me me me in the modern world, in adulthood too. Makes me so sad. Things could be so much better,

No wonder you’re happier as a wolf. What went wrong with humanity?

It does start at home. I believe kids who bully usually don't have such a good home life. Parents might not give two fucks about their kids lives, too caught up in their own lives to give a fuck. Abuse. Neglect. Sometimes I think the abuse happens outside the home, by neighbors(which was my experience), by church members or clergy, by school staff, by other family members even. It sucks that people can be so cruel.

Totally agree. Feels bad liking that post though. Nothing really to like in what we’re discussing. Passive neglect is definitely a factor. I see people throw “things” at their kids all the time, shower them in “stuff”, when really all the child wants is attention, for the parent to spend actual time with them. Do they really not see the damage they are doing?

No. They dont see it. I grew up with several kuds whose parents actually beat their kids, or did fucked up things to them like make them drink hot sauce for getting a bad grade. Things that I look back on and go " What the fuck is wrong with people?!?".

Once I had to eat a bite out of a bar of soap and swallow it in second grade because I was sent home for calling a math test retarted, but I think thats deserving :/

Oh yes! My grandmother washed my mouth out with soap once. I said "damn" or "shit". I cant remember which. I was like four or five. I never cussed around another adult again!

Kiara I'm curious dear. Does your school also have a strict zero tolerance policy ?

I've noticed these places which punish both sides of an engagement tend to have more extreme bullying.

This is because you're punishing the law abiding students by making them unable to defend themselves where as the bully's and thugs don't care for the rules.

I hate it, but if you defend yourself the other person gets off, and youre the one who is in trouble
