The answer's easy, if hard to quantify. Give me a plausible answer and ask your own either/or question; beginning with, "If it pays the same, which is better?"

Its easy to go low; aim higher:

If it pays the same, which is better?

Feeling brilliant 80% of the time, while being brilliant 20% of the time

or

being brilliant 50% of the time while feeling brilliant 15% of the time?
