Really fursonas for most people is an escape to express themselves as the person they want to be., he probably just likes the idea of being a girl. It doesnt really matter since his character is not supposed to be an exact representation of who he is.

Nobody would be able to look at the picture and justifiably say 'Eww, that's gay!'.

I have agree, I wouldn't be thinking of the owner if the character in that situation. That said, if the owner were deliberately being deceptive that would be off putting.

Meh, i think i was just over thinking it for the sake of something to talk about, i dunno, i guess it was cause im straight i subconsciously assume its a female appreciating the image, not another male.

I'm happy to identify anyone by their chosen gender, but I also appreciate knowing their sex, and it can feel like deception if the two are different and that difference is hidden from you.

I feel like this is a hard pill for some transfolk to swallow. I think a lot of dangerous situations would be avoided if it could be more readily accepted that gender =/= sex. Get rid of the attitude of "if that person knows I have or once had a penis/vagina then they won't think I'm a woman/man."

This happened to me... I was with who I thought was a girl and we cybered forever, then she accidentally opened a video chat and "she" was a man. I felt betrayed. I 'm bi but still that whole interaction was built on a lie and it hurts. Now i'm back at square one looking for a partner with a huge trust issue. Like i'm a femboy and thats in my sona and I say it as a disclaimer but I just don't like being lied to. I'd rather know and make my desicion from there.

Oh yeah i know males are into some of my NSFW, dont have anything against that, its just a confidence boost to me i guess, but thats sorta different.
