Ignore feature: Why ISN'T it here?

C'Mon guys. With all the drama that goes on this board every day, why isn't there an ignore user feature? There are some people that we just don't want to see post. They make us rage like hellfire inside. So many flame wars could be averted with this simple feature.

Then forgive me for being stupid, but where is it exactly? I can't find anything about it on a user's profile.

Go to your control panel. It's over to the left under "settings and options".

I guess the "problem" is that the blocking feature isn't visible enough.

The "Delete" button should display a dropdown list with 'Ignore user' as one of its options.

How come it's so difficult for people to literally ignore people? I mean, you don't have to respond to someone that has an opinion you disagree with.
