I'm heavily considering to MWFF but got a couple questions. Can I get some help?

First off hello and thanks for being willing to help.

So this would be my first con that I didn't have somewhere to stay like a relative or friend nearby. Is there some hotels nearby I should try and get to in order to maximize my time at the con?

Is there anything I should take for sure I'm from basically the southern tip of texas and am used to warm weather should I pack stuff for like snow weather as coldest I've dealt with is maybe 30F for a few days a year or so ago.

Last if I can't get a room at the hotels is there any opinion on splitting a room with someone? As personally I wouldn't be against it but have never done something like that .

Well, I've never been to a con myself. But I do know a thing or too about hotels. Depending on what app you use too book your room, if you do do that, the same room will be at either a lower or higher cost. Isn't that just great to know? If I ever go to one, that's my plan for finding a room at a nearby hotel, it doesn't need to be big or extravagant for me, I'm sure I'll be tired whenever I'm back in there.
