hi there, I'm interested in maybe going to a meet or something, and hopefully making friends. Is there some main Maryland online community thingee I could join, where people make plans and announcements? (What about a group chat one, too?) I dunno if this is where I should b asking, so if u see another post like this somewhere, also from today, I'm sure it's just me again. sorry to waste the space.

OK, this lists some upcoming meets:

So there are a few meets...there's a few others on the list, but they look like mainly video-gaming meets, and since I don't really play video games, they'd seem kinda boring, for me. But the first one looks like a good variety; fur-suits allowed, even, the second is a lunch/dinner meet, the last one appears to be a sorta BBQ at a park/hiking event, and that looks fun. I love to hike, and there's some nice trails there, as I recall.

Well, this is what I could find, and I hope to make it a few of these, car or no car!

Oh ok cool! The 1st one is full, no more people can go.
the 2nd one doesn't explain, and I have NO CLUE what it is lol
The 3rd one doesn't seem like the best situation to get to know people...hiking and conversation isn't the easiest, I think. Unless it's super low level hiking. That one would b cool after getting to know people.
I can't say ANYTHING about the 2nd one cause it doesn't describe it at all. The 1st one seems like my kinda introductory meet, to get to know people. Luckily they do it all the time! I'll definitely haft do that one. And hopefully the 2nd one will work for me too!

I still really wanna find the place where people actually communicate with eachother :/ that's probably a bigger deal to me, since I'm not that good introducing myself in person. It'd b really nice to know people before just showing up at a meet as a total stranger. And I'd really prefer smaller meets that people just randomly put together here and there, like at dave&busters and such, anyway. Those would be ideal for me. Meeting like just 5 or 6 other people and not being totally overwhelmed by however many go to those "major" ones listed on that site that SO many people want to go to that people need to actually RSVP lol.

The 2nd one is at a restaurant, and pho is a Vietnamese noodle dish...I think think there's about 12 people, at this meet? So not too huge.

Ah. Well, that one sounds really cool too. Sadly it isn't at a restaurant with good food lol

The gaming meet at least SOMETIMES went to CiCi's first. I like that more relaxed atmosphere....and price lol. The problem is that it's just a short part before the gaming part, which just made me feel more left out by BEING there lol.

I guess there's nothing stopping us from putting something together...personally tho, i wouldn't even attempt it until I knew there were at least a few other new people who definitely wanted&could go. its not worth trying to figure out schedules and all the details, and getting ur hopes up until there's actually a chance it'll happen.

Oh, and yeah, the first one does repeat. I'd hafta look again, but its like every month I think

Hi there! To every1 I've talked to(and everyone else!), I was hoping that we could maybe get a meet together for us...the ones that cannot find, don't feel welcome or comfortable going to a main-community thingie, or just unable to for whatever reason. Anyone within the main-community would be more than welcome as well, but I've come across LOTS of us who I'm thinking about while considering a meet like this. I'd be happy to take any suggestions about it. I was thinking arundel mills/Dave&Busters, cause they've got all the pool,bowling,games,&food, and there's the rest of the mall there too. Like I said, any other ideas r welcome, at this point this is just an idea, for all I know no1 else would even be interested. Just say hi right here and any interest and input, including days/times u can, and/can't:)

I'd be up for such a meet...main problem is no car. I live in Baltimore, can take the train, and such, but have no real way out to Arundel Mills. But if there was a Baltimore meet, I could definitely find a way to get there, via bus, footpaws, train, &c. Maybe a meet in the inner harbor? There's the National Aquarium which is really amazing, and other stuff to do, and if any fursuiters show up, we can have fun scaring all the tourists!
