I dont know if this is the place to put this or if theres a place for it at all, but I have an emergency. Feel free to ask me for more information or anything.
I moved states and got a really nice paying job, only for that business to down size a month later. Ive been without a job sincefeb and have go through all my savings. I even took out loans but I cant get a job so i have no way to pay the loans back. I lowered myself to even applying at mcdonalds and taco bell but i was turned away for being "Overqualified".
I havent been on my medication for a while and my dog needs his medication as well.
During the weekend I also got into a car accident and now i need to repair my car so I can continue my job search.
I just really need donations. Im in the worst spot ive ever been in and i have no clue what to do

When you're applying for low-paying jobs, (like McDonald's or whatever) - sometimes it's *better* not to list all of your experiences and qualifications - when you apply. "Dumbing down" your work experiences can help you get the job, a lot of times. (I know, as I've done it myself).

That doesn't mean that you lie - it just means that you casually "omit" some things when you apply, (to make yourself look more like a better fit) - for what they need.

Tbh - I commend you for being brave enough to ask for help (on here); but - asking strangers online (for financial help) is not really a viable answer to your woes. → If there are people in your life (that you know and trust) who care about you - *those folks*, would be the best ones to turn to, IMO.

If you have no one (in your life) - then you may need to find your own way, (personally and financially), as hard as that'll be. It sounds harsh, (I know) but unfortunately that's how the real world, (often works).

If there are local Social Services (in your area) - then it may be best to try there.. for any help/aid you might be eligible for, (if worse comes to worse).

Hopefully, this is helpful to you. I'm not criticising your post, so please don't take it that way. I'm advising / telling you what I often tell other people (that I encounter, in your situation).. which in this Fandom - (has been a lot) over the years. ☺

Well they said you’re welcome to ask for more information if you’re interested but concerned. If you don’t want to help, then just don’t say anything.

Ive been on FA for years. My friends on here suggested I make a post to the forums because theyve had help before. Ive seen people be helped before and I just hoped I could also get help when in need. It really hearts to see that I was met this way. Im sorry for making this post.

Please read my posting above; as it was not a criticism, in any way - these were merely "suggestions" for what you could (possibly) do to improve your situation. I've been in your shoes, at one time in my life - and these suggestions (above) is what got me out of (some) of it.

There's an old saying that we coined in Social Work school, (over at the University that I attended) - "the best person to help you, is often times you yourself". ☺

Don’t be sorry. Everyone needs help every once in awhile. That’s nothing to be ashamed of, and there’s nothing wrong with asking for it so long as it’s honest.

Ignore Cider. He’s known to be one of the most negative people on here.

I would suggest trying to find companion animal rescue groups or social services to help out with your dog. In this area, there are vet services for companion animal cats and dogs for people with no income or income restrictions.

I understand and I appreciate your suggestions. They are good ideas, but of what you have suggested has been touched on in my gofundme description and i am seeking out social help. i appreciate your kindness though. I was just more hurt by the other person's harsh words and judgement. I am still trying to make things work on my own, trying to get a job, getting up early every morning with my sheets of resume in hand, i did try dumbing down when i apply for fast food work and such.
Im still trying my best, i just need a bit of help to keep going

I was made redundant in 2011 and since then I have been scraping along just making ends meet as a self employed contractor. But over that time I have managed to achieve having no borrowings from cards or banks.

Its not easy but I am far happier than I was when I was working at the multinational company I used to be at.

It sounds like you're trying to do the right thing; but - (let's be honest here) - most people aren't going to give money to a complete stranger online, (sight unseen) without clearly knowing what their money is going for. I know it sounds harsh, but it's true.

The people in your life who care about you though (if you have any) - are the ones to probably ask for this type of financial help.

Various local Social Service agencies, (and the local Employment Department also) - would probably be very good places to go to - for advice on what you can do, given your specific circumstances.
