I see a lot of furries out there with fursonas that have quite the high level of uniqueness to their design. I kind of want to change my own fursona, Trisha Gunner, to have something more unique and different, without overdoing it with designs that are more of an eyesore than intriguing. I have seen a lot of unique designs, and it's a kind of thing that would get me interested. I also see some people being fine with just a more usual, or natural, design, and their characters still stand out. I really would like to hear from others about this kind of subject. Not necessarily advice, but some feelings others have on the very concept of having a fursona that has a unique look, coloring scheme, or some sort of nifty things put into fursona's fur patterns and stuff.
What kinds of unique designs do you find you like? I'm sure everyone has their own opinions of what makes a fursona good, bad, or just plain unique in some way.
For me, when it comes to unique designs I like, I like it when there are little details that don't appear on your average anthropomorphic character. Sometimes I see hearts, or some bubble pattern. Maybe even what looks to be a glowing effect, or some interesting fur tattoos/markings that adds to how the character will stand out from the rest. I have a phone wallpaper that has a female anthropomorphic character, and she has these lines on her that kind of glow, in contrast to the rest of her darker fur. Some of the lines shape out hearts and other things. I don't know what it is, but I really like it when details glow. That's why I get attracted to concepts of a futuristic world. Not necessarily cyberpunk, but more like Sci-Fantasy things, like Phantasy Star Online 2. There are many other nice designs I see on more unique fursonas that get me wanting to get things going on my own fursona. And yet, it would be nice if I could come up with something more unique, and not copy too much of another person's fursona.
