Main Site Is the Autumn Update still on track for being an Autumn update?

Back in the beginning of Autumn, there was the site journal about the Autumn Update being finalized and rolling out. After the recent site attacks in late October, there was the journal which mentioned that the FA team is actively working on implementing systems and additional measures to the website. Since it's now nearing the end of Autumn, I'm curious if I can get a mod response on if we can still expect the Autumn Update to fully roll out in Autumn, or if the site attack changes are a larger focus.

I'm eager to upload all my recent submissions, but it's incredibly tedious when I have to double-upload everything to get the proper resolution, and the Autumn Update would save me hours with that.

The attack really got us off track because we had to veer away. I know @Dragoneer has plans, but I'd rather let him reply.

Just chatted with 'Neer and confirmed it'll be by the end of Autumn, which is Dec 21st.
Just chiming in to add that some parts of the new update have taken a bit longer than anticipated, but we've decided to release the big part of it early. =3

HD uploads? HD uploads.

EDIT: I'm editing my post to say that the HQ uploads are still coming, but have a slight delay. An additional feature we'd planned to post early is still coming, however.

"HD Uploads"
>Decreases the resolution size users used to be able to do with the Change Submission File trick
>Even paying the ransom for it has a limit that the old solution surpassed
>Making it a resolution limit instead of a file size limit so it's not at least Effective Lawful Evil
>Basic site functionality like thumbnails are still broken years in

It's like a car manufacturer advertising their new model costs half as much to fill up with the smallprint saying it's because they reduced the size of the fuel tank by half as well. Oh, and the the engine knock is still a problem but if no one points it out then maybe they'll just forget about it.

This feels like something worth getting another updated answer on, especially since the mini-update two weeks ago completely ruined the website's image upload quality [1] [2] (as well as other parts of the website), and the rest of the update was planned to be released within one week from now.

Also incredibly worrying that throughout this entire two week period of the site being broken, neither devs nor staff have chimed in anywhere to give any sort of update on what's being worked on, or how much progress is being made. Even if everything is fixed on time for the full Autumn Update, it doesn't feel great when we're just expected to trust that these brand new massive issues with the website will be fixed at some point, with absolutely no communication or clear progress to prove it.

Don't worry. I'm sure it'll all be finished in 10 more years.

(It would be really interesting to get a weekly summary of how much time the devs spent on FA and what was actually done in that time.)

Admins don't even get that.

Gif fixes are being worked on more today and eta is 2 days or so.

Now that it's no longer autumn and the update isn't done, it would be a good time to do a site journal about where the update is, and why it isn't out yet. FA set up a deadline for the update, and it passed, so naturally FA should at least publicly acknowledge it through another site journal, and ideally give an update on how things are going.

Remember, not everyone that uses FA uses the forums (according to Dragoneer, it's 300k FA users a day vs 300 forum users a day), so the VAST majority of FA users are still in the dark about what's going on with the update. No official status on how and when all the massive upload issues are going to be fixed, and the last mention about the site making progress towards this update was over three weeks ago.

Not to mention that the largest furry art website on the internet has now had all of its image uploads broken in some way for nearly a month.

edit: wrote dragoneer's numbers as x users per month. it is in fact, x users per day.
