Is the Furrification a temporary thing?

Is the Furrification profile a temporary joke or will it stay for the foreseeable future?

I certainly have my doubts about the 'lifetime' furrification. Assuming that it uses the same rate as the 12 month badge, that means they would have to keep supporting it for at least 11 years. It reminds me of when DeviantArt had a 'Until hell freezes over' subscription, which was downgraded from forever to 7 years.

It's temporary, and will never come back after this event. If somebody buys permanent they'll have it forever if they choose, but can disable it later.
