It's June 26. In 4 more days, pride month will be over. July will roll around, everyone will quiet down and straights can feel secure in their sexuality again. Maybe.

I think this should be moved as well, but I'll add this line:

Don't feel FORCED to be straight just because it's the norm... but if you discover you in fact are, it's not a huge issue.

I’m thinking along the lines of this being moved, too. I can think of some people who might be inclined to make a huge argument out of this.

But, to stay on topic- I think being straight is okay. Everyone does, it’s the norm. I don’t think any sexuality should be put on a pedestal, much less heterosexuality. Though, one group has clearly suffered more than the other.

Also, no one is saying it's not okay to be straight. The purpose of pride month isn't to pick on straights, but for gays, lesbians, trans, demisexuals etc to be happy with who they are without fearing what society will think or do to them.

Straights can celebrate pride month with us if they want. We aren't saying they aren't welcome. :)

I think everyone here is just tired of people going "How come there's no straight pride month" when straight pride month is literally every month, and the conversation just circles around and around. Whoever started this thread most likely just wanted to see people get riled up, or they're waiting for that One person who just HAS to find some way to bitch about minorities getting a month or a day dedicated to them, without actually learning why they get a month or a day dedicated to them.

I honestly don’t know where the “lgbtq folks are attacking straights” comes from. I’m currently questioning my orientation, and if anything, i’ve seen more hostility from straight people. (Still even with that its a bit low)Sexuality is something everyone should feel comfortable with, no matter if they are straight, bi, gay, etc.

As for traps: I think people are tired of baity posts like this from new users, with no profile information, no avi, no other posts; nothing.

It should be moved to politics, deleted entirely or perhaps moved to a new form game: "Guess my Alt".

I mean Being straight is fine and all but even I Think I was a bit hard on others for years.. But as of recently I've been MUCH more accepting of others in general And while as a few people have stated this this thread is sorta a "trap" of some sort is all by how you view it.. I feel like This thread has a place but maybe Renamed?

While Definitely true I feel like how one handles something is always good to.. As someone newer to the community maybe im still learning but Bait or not Stuff should be able to be discussed in a civilized matter even if they posted it with malicious content.. If that makes sense?

Well if you ask me i think you should really just throw a joke as it seems like you kinda give him what does he want.

I wouldn't really call every other month "a straight month". I will tell you in non-secret, I was actually scolded for being straight :D

Assholes are everywhere, for me every month is the same. I am absolutely fine with LGBT community. I co-exist with them and really see no reason for any months for anyone. Shouldn't that be... you know. Everyday?

Maybe I am saying something wrong but as I said, pride month for me is like any other one and I have never gave it too much attention.
