The days with dialup where a Windows update could take a day if you were lucky if the connection did not drop out.

Honestly I don't know if it's the file sizes or the poor broadband up here but it's not unusual to be waiting a couple of days for an update.
(Thank goodness for the ability to download the file in pieces.)

It's been oppressively warm over here today, I seem to have spent most of the day sleeping or doing nothing.

Me too, I have tried to keep my self preoccupied and not fall asleep during day time hours. The last thing I want to do is mess up my internal body clock.
