I am looking at the Sony Alpha A7 at the moment, It's a mirrorless camera.

Let me know if I should look others at cameras instead?

Park Cameras always have a good selection of new and used kit.

You can save a lot on a used camera body which leaves you more the spend on lenses.

Thanks for the link.

I forgot to mention the type of camera I want to replace. The camera I want to replace is a Sony dsc-h400.

It is your preference. I see there offering a new a7 with a 28mm to 70mm lense for £849 and then there is £150 cash back from Sony that brings it down to £699.

It also has a hot shoe which gives you flexibly down the line if you ever want to used external flashes. Or if you are ever wanting to do video somewhere to mount the microphone.

Don't forget the memory card which will need to be a good fast one. Also a protection filter for the lens (skylight or UV) as these can save your lens from getting dirt in or scratched.

I found the type of camera I was looking for, thanks all for helping me narrow it down.

The camera I might get is a Sony Alpha 7R II.

Cows anyone?
