Whats a vulpine?
Foxes don’t follow dogs in their taxonomy. Sure their family is canidae, but their genus is vulpes.

As a polar, you also have your own species on top of it. Vulpes Lagopus. Also known as Alopex, (a much older name) arctic foxes are the only member of the vulpes families that have short, stubby ears and legs with a ridiculously thick coat. Polar foxes have some of the most insulating winter coats in the world, and are perfectly built for their environment.

They’re also my favorite.
