It sounds like a problem I had a few years ago, there was a file corruption in the Windows boot directory, so I couldn't use the OS. Problem was my files were all in there and were fine. I had to order a new HDD, do a reinstall then use the OS on the new HDD to access the files still stored on the old one.
It was a pain in the ass but it worked.

I wouldn't worry about your computer to much, pretty sure it's mostly porn and games, all of which is quite easy to get back.

I partition the drive so all my data is separate to the system partition. Then use Clonezilla to make a binary image stored on external media. I will also make a system image before any major Win updates. This way if it goes wrong it does not take long to burn the image back on and get things back up and running.

Well that's yer problem, you're usinga a HDD, not a SSD. Total noob move...
