German Shepard's are awesome dogs, had three of them. Just be wary of their back legs, they tend to go at older age. It's heartbreaking.

OK then you might be in the clear. It's only with the purebreds that tends to happens. Happened with all three of mine, had to put them all down.

im sorry. my last dog friend was a pit mix too but mostly pit. his guts filled with rocks and down he went :(
Don't be sorry, that's life. Shit happens. I'm just glad I got to spend time with them and have pictures and memories.

What do you mean by rocks in his guts? Cancer? Kidney stones???

Oof. That's a shame. Despite being bred as fighting dogs pitbulls are usually very well natured. An old friend of mine had a staffy and I shit you not it was the most friendliest dog you would ever meet, quite a nice looking one too.
