I played alot of NWN myself, based on D&D 3.5, always loved it. I played a little PE too, though it was a tabletop experience with actual people!

My controversial take on it, is that it was better than Baldur's Gate. The Main campaign was spotty in terms of story admittedly, but all around, pretty well written and engaging! HOTU was the peak.

Making a character can be a bit number heavy but when playing, not really. It is all about telling a story really.

I'm just a bookworm. I know shocking considering how terrible my fucking writing is lol

I just love books from that era like

the Sherlock Holmes series by Arthur Conan Doyle

and the A.J. Raffles by E. W. Hornung (Who was Arthur Conan's Doyle's brother in law and basically just made a thief version of Sherlock Holmes lol)

and before you say it no. That is not where the username Raffles Holmes came from. It actually came from Raffles Holmes & Company by John Kendrick Bangs. But besides the point.

I love the literature from that era. I just think a lot of the writers were fucking amazing.

So that gave me a love for the time period.

Not sure about the dark souls builds. Their stats are a helluva lot different.
