Oh, well to be fair, you're playing like, the worst Dark Souls I think. (Dark Souls 2) Which imo, did not live up the challenging but fair mantra like the other games. It was not directed by the series creator.
Yeah, equip load that is more than 50% of your total equip load makes you 'fat roll' and slows your movement. What I do is use a ring that increases total equip load to allow me to normal roll in heavy armor.

You'll want to play the first Dark Souls or the third. I kind of agree the second one is prey mediocre and flawed.

I usually have to commission quiet a bit myself for art so I understand lol Oddly enough a lot of my friends online I have become close with I became close due to a commission or request having to do with my old OC Raffles when I was brony.
and I ended up getting stuff like this from the commissions and requests I still love to this day.
