I looked up Bald Knob for the Civil War. There was a salt works there that was raided by the Union army in 1864 and they destroyed all of the kettles that they used to boil the water to extract the salt. I think you are confusing this town with the Bald Knob near Kennesaw mountain in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

I remember my younger brother and I came home one day from working out in the hot sun. My brother went to the refrigerator and opened it and saw a big, sparkling glass of ice cold milk. He made happy noises and grabbed it and started slugging it down. Then he made a horrible face and started gagging. The "milk" was actually Similac baby formula. Ever since that incident, he has hated milk and refuses to drink it.

Yes. I like milk. My father's company was doing a roof insulation job at a dairy north of Memphis. It was uber hot. The owner was really nice and told us we could have anything out of the holding room to drink, and anything out of the ice cream room that was from a busted case. One day, I managed to drink two gallons of chocolate milk. I thought I was going to die later, I got so sick.
