I knew Gary Gygax. I've been playing it since it first came out in the first edition little white box set. What no one seems to know is that it isn't a set of rules. It's a set of guidelines. Remind me to tell you about the time Gary asked me to tell him a D&D story and "freak him out".

tbh that's a toughie.
I say Earthbound by a slim margin due to personal bias, though Chrono Trigger was better received in general.
